These players and their teams stand at the precipice of being crowned best in the state and will be giving everything they have to capture the FHSAA holy grail.
Nyla Harris Nyla Harris 6'2" | PF Lake Highland Prep | 2022 State #34 Nation FL , 6’2″/F, Lake Highland Prep – Harris is a complete nightmare for opposing teams. She is a double double machine and is not easily outworked in the paint. She does not shy away from physicality and will punish defenders that choose to play behind. she does a great job of reading the ball off the rim for rebounding. Lake Highland understands the consistency they will get from Harris night in and night out and will continue to allow her talent to lift them past their remaining opponents toward the championship.
Kailani Lindsey Kailani Lindsey 6'1" | PF Wildwood | 2023 State FL , 6’1″/PF, Wildwood – Wildwood high school’s most complete player, Lindsey has great size and uses it well. She has great touch around the rim and is strong enough to finish through contact. She is great face up player from the high post and defensively is capable of guarding her area and eating up space to change shots. With Lindsey and company, Wildwood high school has a big chance of hoisting the championship trophy.
Olivia Davis Olivia Davis 5'7" | CG Cardinal Mooney | 2023 State FL , 5’7″/G, Cardinal Mooney – Davis is an exciting high school shooter. She loves the deep ball and has really used it to help her team in the race for a championship. Davis is also a tenacious defender and appears to enjoy providing pressure defense. The best part of Davis’ game is her willingness to be unselfish and share the ball to ensure her teammates are involved. Cardinal Mooney is primed to win state and Davis looks ready to lead them.
Ciara Hayes Ciara Hayes 5'5" | PG Faith Christian Academy | 2026 State FL , 5’4″/CG, Faith Christian- The most impressive part of Hayes’ game is her ceiling. Competing for a state championship as an eighth grader, she will have a rare opportunity to gain state championship experience in middle school. Hayes’ shiftiness is difficult to predict and adding her jumper to the mix keeps defenders guessing. Hayes has a great pace to her game that will continue to get better once she has time to mature and learns to play with a high motor.
Carmen Richardson Carmen Richardson 5'8" | CG Colonial | 2024 State FL , 5’9″/CG, Colonial – Richardson is a high energy player and extremely fun to watch. She is the consummate team player and doesn’t seem to force any part of her game. She has a great transition pull up and her corner three is deadly accurate. She also does a great job rebounding from the perimeter. Richardson is a leader through action and is willing to give whatever is necessary to claim a title for Colonial high school.
