<span style="font-weight: 400;">Tournament action is in full effect across the state of Tennessee. Teams who have grinded it out, displaying superb play, have gone on to punch their ticket to the next round. As teams start to advance, games have become feisty possession battles. The young ladies who are still playing have displayed the mental fortitude as they are locked in and focused on bigger goals for themselves and their teams. </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">This weekend was a testament to see who has what it takes to make it to the next round.Games across the state were tight, back and forth action with young ladies making dazzling dimes, finishing at the rim, and knocking down clutch 3s. Talent across the state was surely on display this weekend. As teams move forward, here are some notable Weekend Warriors who grinded it out to help lead their team to a victory.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245323" first="Kamil" last="Washum"] (5’4/ Jr./ PG/ Hillsboro)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Played sensational as she lead the Lady Burro attack against the Brentwood Lady Bruins in the championship game. Kamil commanded the offense, knocked down clutch 3s, and played lockdown defense. This young lady is a smart heady player who knows when to exploit gaps and take advantage of different mismatches.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245224" first="Zyion" last="Shannon"] (5’8/ Sr./ CG/ Stewart’s Creek)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Dynamic player who plays hard on both ends of the floor. Deceptional speed, kicks into high gear, led her team with 19pts as they captured the District 8- 4A title. This TSU commit is sensational and scores it on all 3 levels. Can pass the ball well, fitting it into tight gaps that leads to easy buckets for her teammates. Sensational talent that will be one of the catalyst as the Lady Redhawks look to make some more noise leading into the next round.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="285332" first="Brianna" last="Burgess"] (5’10/ Jr./ SG/ Creekwood)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Phenomenal scoring machine, tough kid to guard on the offensive end. Brianna made clutch shots as she led her team with 23 points. Brianna is a solid player who has amazing court vision. Unselfish. Knows when to attack or pull back. Doesn’t take bad shots from the field. Her experience on the court has helped lead the Lady Hawks attack. Look for them to be a threat throughout the rest of the tournament.</span>
<b>Janiyha Riley (5’8/Sr./CG/ Columbia Central)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Speed. This young talent prides herself on making her opponent miserable for 32 minutes. Has a knack for creating turnovers, leading to transition buckets. Contributes in multiple statistical categories. Great talent who loves to create havoc.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245292" first="Jailyn" last="Banks"] (5’8/Jr./W/ Middle Tennessee Christian)-</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Dynamic scoring threat, this young lady plays the game hard, fast, and with a passion. Can score the rock on multiple levels, she has been the lead dog of a potent Lady Cougars attack. Dropped 22 pts over the weekend, making life miserable for Nashville Christian. An exceptional talent, JB competes hard on both ends of the floor. Tough kid who is hard to stop.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245217" first="Reghan" last="Grimes"] (5’10/Sr./W/ Ravenwood)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- She’s a go-getter. District 12-4 MVP winner is a hard -nosed kid. Can score it on multiple levels. Plays tough defense. Grabs boards. She’s a major contributor to her team’s success in multiple ways. The Tennessee Tech commit is an old fashion grinder who looks to attack at all times. A big time leader who looks to help her district champion Lady Raptor teammates to the next round.</span>
<b>Aubrey Padgett (5’7/ Jr./ PG/ Rossview)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Cool, calm, collective. AP is poised with the ball in her hands. She can score it, make timely passes, contribute on the defensive end, and grab a few boards along the way. She is a solid player who does the little things right to make sure her teammates are successful. Nice mid-range game and can knock it down from beyond the arc.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245221" first="Brooklyn" last="Crouch"] (5’7/ Sr./ PG/ Upperman)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Phenomenal talent, Brooklyn is a bucket getter. Can score it on all 3 levels. Can slash through gaps leading to high percentage shots. Exceptional basketball IQ, makes timely passes, and can guard the best players on the floor. Scored 17 pts over the weekend. The UTC commit has had an awesome high school career thus far, but looks towards leading her Lady Bees team back to the summit.</span>
<b>Aubrey Blakenship (6’0/Jr./ SF/ Green Hill)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Scoring machine that is a dual threat. Had a double-double with 18pts and 13 rebounds in a win against Lebanon. Has a nice mid-range game, but can also step out beyond the arc. Dominant in the paint, Aubrey is a force to be reckoned with. Look for her to be one of the leading catalysts for her Green Hill club as they look to move forward in the tourney.</span>
