2022 BTH Showcase: Top Shooters

<p style="padding-left: 40px;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The 2022 Big Time Hoops Showcase is a two day event with nearly 90 participants looking to display their talents and skills in front of numerous collegiate programs. The event is being held at Las Cruces High School in Las Cruces, New Mexico on March 25th &amp; 26th. </span></p> <p class="p1" style="padding-left: 40px;"><span class="s1" style="font-size: 14pt;">Day 1 focused on shooting as close to 1/3 of the total participants competed in the 3pt contest. Each player had 60 seconds to make as many 3pt attempts from designated spots behind the arc. </span></p> <p style="padding-left: 40px;"><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/03/396F2323-6FA7-4B37-86BD-B1B7CFAC657A-scaled-crop-1920x1261-1648317227.jpeg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-404949 aligncenter" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/03/396F2323-6FA7-4B37-86BD-B1B7CFAC657A-scaled-crop-1920x1261-1648317227-300x197.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a></p> <p style="padding-left: 40px;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="403552" first="Carolina" last="Romero"] won the 3pt contest with 15(!) made attempts in under sixty seconds. Romero is a terrific shooter that has a good base and good follow thru on her jump shot. Able to hit from multiple areas on the court, Romero is a serious perimeter threat. </span></p> <p class="p1" style="padding-left: 40px;"><span class="s1" style="font-size: 14pt;">Brianna Vargas from Burgess High School in<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>El Paso, Texas was impressive with her ability to knock down multiple 3s from various spots. Vargas is a 5’4” Junior with good range as she was several feet behind the designated spots when it was her turn to shoot. Vargas has a consistent shooting motion with a quick release. </span></p> <p class="p1" style="padding-left: 40px;"><span class="s1"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="353745" first="Alexis" last="Sandoval"] from Goddard High School in Roswell, New Mexico made herself known as one of the better shooters at the BTH Showcase. Sandoval stands at 5’5” and is a consistent shooter that gets good height on her jump shot. Sandoval has a good base and does a good job of keeping her hands in the shooting pocket rarely bringing them down. </span></span></p> &nbsp;
