A look at some of the players who were newcomers to the final 2022 rankings on PGH Ohio.
[player_tooltip player_id="400147" first="Bekah" last="Conrad"], 6-4 2022, Bellville Clear Fork
As mentioned in an earlier article, Bekah is a player who had a very solid senior season and led them to a great turnaround season. She is a very strong force in the paint and keeps the ball high, scoring over her opponents. She has good hands and can clean the glass.
[player_tooltip player_id="400152" first="Ellie" last="Gabel"], 5-7 2022, New Knoxville
Terrific leader for a team who made it all the way to the state finals before losing to Waterford. Gabel (featured photo) is a solid guard with a lot of skill, able to run the offense and do many things with the ball. Good basketball IQ, always does what it takes for her team to be successful. Last I heard she was still uncommitted.
[player_tooltip player_id="400143" first="Jada" last="Pohlen"], 5-10 2022, Hamilton Badin
Saw them against Alter in the regional finals. Pohlen is a fantastic wing and solid player who can defend multiple positions on the court. Sees the floor well, able to put the ball on the floor and score. Good on-ball defender and was named the POY in the GCL Coed Division.
[player_tooltip player_id="400145" first="Kendall" last="Dieringer"], 5-7 2022, St. Mary’s
One of the top uncommitted seniors in Ohio, Kendall is a true playmaker who can do a lot for her team. She can control the tempo of the game, distribute for the better shot, push the ball north-south and score at the rim. Also an excellent perimeter game and she is like having a floor general out there.
[player_tooltip player_id="400149" first="Erin" last="Kaufman"], 6-0 2022, Ottawa Glandorf
A great leader and a player who plays with a lot of confidence. She has gotten better every year and. She is a great worker with solid handles and can play well around the rim. Good defender, can take you off the dribble and has good strength.
[player_tooltip player_id="400172" first="Trinity" last="Bellard"], 5-10 2022, Middletown
She has a very solid senior season for an improved Middletown team. Athletic and good handles, Trinity was able to create shots in the paint and finish. She can score from the perimeter and has a very good motor allowing her play to rub off on her teammates. Natural leader.
[player_tooltip player_id="400173" first="Allison" last="Mowen"], 5-6 2022, Eaton
I saw her this week in an all-star game and was impressed how mature she plays and how much she is able to lead and create for her team. She is a very smart player with a high basketball IQ, can defend and create turnovers, and finish in transition. Also uncommitted.
