There was a morning session featuring approximately 65 girls and an afternoon session featuring another 65ish girls, primarily from one of the 21 Always 100 grassroots teams in 17U-14U set to take to the courts this Spring and Summer. This article is dedicated to the Classes of 2025 & 2026, so below are five ladies who I felt stood out with their play throughout the day, when I was able to see them. This is not every Freshman or 8th Grader who was in attendance, and more ladies played well than just these five, but they caught my eye for one reason or another with their play.

– This was my first opportunity to see Brooklyn at length, and she is a very intriguing prospect. She has nice length, wiry strength, and she moves well in most directions. She still looks most comfortable in the mid-post, she was able to score over smaller defenders around the block, plus she is a nice pursuing rebounder who has a nose for the ball. Still, though, she showed flashes of solid perimeter play, and as she gets stronger, if she can continue developing her ball skill and prove she can defend the ball at 20-feet consistently, I think she can become more of a true wing over time. She certainly has a nice ceiling.
Tanea Hairston, 2025, 5-8 SF, Fort Wayne Wayne H.S.,
Always 100
Showtime 15U
– This was also my first time seeing Tanea in action, and she, plus her twin Tani Hairston, were both solid all day. Tanea is a strong, fairly athletic, and active forward who can play comfortably at all levels. From the perimeter, she looks to mostly attack off the dribble, and she uses her frame to move defenders out of the way and absorb contact. She is trouble in the mid-post as well, because she can catch, make a single move, and get to the rim, or she can knock down the 15-footer. I also liked her motor and her aggressiveness on the boards. She is productive each time out, and a consistent 3-point shot could be dangerous.

– Maya might have stood out the most of any prospect throughout the day. She looks stronger, more fluid, and is just a matchup problem at 6-3 with her ability to shoot/score the basketball. She knocked down the 3-pointer, pull-ups in transition, plus she attacked and made dribble-moves into finishes at the basket consistently. As she continues gaining strength and learns how to play lower, especially defensively, it will only make her stand out more. Maya was the second leading scorer as a Freshman for a good Hamilton Southeastern team, and she has already drawn her share of interest/offers from mid to high Division-I schools.
Charlotte Miller, 2025, 5-7 CG, Ann Arbor Christian H.S. (MI),
Always 100
Elite 15U
– Another first-time viewing for me, but this is because Charlotte is from Michigan. She has nice length, a wiry-strong frame, and she is a fluid athlete with quickness in most directions. She has a natural feel for the game, she sees the floor well, and she is a consistent perimeter shooter who you must respect all over the floor. She’s another one who should only get better with continued strength, plus she could stand to improve her handle in tight spaces, but she definitely knows how to play the game and make her teammates around her better. It should be fun watching her grow with this

group.
Myah Epps, 2026, 5-9 CG/SF, Homestead H.S.,
Always 100
Elite 15U & 14U
– Myah is difficult to define by position, because at her size at her age, she does most things well. She can be a creator, a slashing scorer, and she’s not bad shooting it from the perimeter. She has length, the potential to get much stronger, and she runs and jumps well at her age. More than anything, Myah is just a matchup problem because of her versatility, skill, athleticism, and quiet toughness. Since I saw her in the Fall at a showcase event, she has continued improving her handle, her ability to change directions in traffic, and she is playing much smoother with fewer turnovers. She’s one of the best 2026s in Northeast Indiana.
