We recently highlighted some of the top potential grassroots stock risers in the class of 2023 and that link can be found here. In the following article we will look at the same for the class of 2024.
2024 6’3 C Gillian Bears Gillian Bears 6'3" | C Gonzaga Prep | 2024 State WA (Central Valley HS) – A developing post prospect with length and soft touch around the basket. Bears provides paint protection on defense and will be able to matchup with other like-sized posts in club ball.
2024 5’10 SG Devin Coppinger Devin Coppinger 5'10" | CG Nooksack Valley | 2024 State WA (Nooksack Valley HS) – Fresh off a very strong high school season, Coppinger is locked and loaded to carry the momentum into the Spring-Summer. A physical and tough guard that doesn’t back down from any competitor. She will score in downhill situations and get to the foul line. She will have the opportunity to show any non-believers that she belongs in the conversation as being one of the better 2-guards in the West.
2024 6’2 C Jacey Eggers Jacey Eggers 6'2" | PF Woodinville | 2024 State WA (Woodinville HS) – Another developing post prospect that will have an opportunity to show college coaches she is a legit Division 1 prospect. She has a step through and some deceptive face up game. Eggers is strong and can get up and down the floor fairly well. A prospect to keep an eye on in the 2024 class.
2024 6’5 C Naima Joseph Naima Joseph 6'5" | C Garfield | 2024 WA (Garfield HS) – An exceptionally strong center that was on a major minutes restriction during the high school season, but she is cleared now and will be able to show off some of her ability. Joseph has a decent touch around the basket, can knock down the occasional high post jumper and she provides great paint protection with her size.
