PREVIEW

In my opinion, this is a loaded semifinal draw in West Bloomfield. While there are 2 elite teams on each half of the bracket in West Bloomfield and Bloomfield Hills Marian, the 2 other teams are high quality teams that can do more than make noise. Birmingham Groves and North Farmington feature talented players that can lead their teams to big wins, and possibly a district title.

PREDICTIONS

West Bloomfield vs. Birmingham Groves
Prediction: West Bloomfield
West Bloomfield is a star studded team with very real state championship aspirations. They move on past a game Birmingham Groves squad.
Bloomfield Hills Marian vs. North Farmington
Prediction: Bloomfield Hills Marian
I really think that this is an underestimated semifinal matchup. North Farmington will play a solid game and be in it late, but Marian advances.

PLAYERS

[player_tooltip player_id="188581" first="Sydney" last="Hendrix"] (2023, SF, West Bloomfield)
Hendrix is an elite basketball talent. She gets the job done at an extremely high level on both ends of the floor and is a huge mismatch with her strength, ball skills, and ability to influence a game in so many ways.
[player_tooltip player_id="147731" first="Myonna" last="Hooper"] (2022, PG, West Bloomfield)
Hooper is a veteran leader for one of the most talented rosters in the state. She’s a savvy veteran that can set the table on offense and is an elite and gritty perimeter defender.
[player_tooltip player_id="230802" first="Sela" last="Lefler"] (2023, PG, North Farmington)
Lefler continues to show growth and improvement in her game. She’s a top notch shooter from behind the arc and a vastly improved passer at the point. If Lefler has a big game, the Marian matchup could get very interesting.
[player_tooltip player_id="190722" first="Kaitlyn" last="Sanders"] (2023, SF, Birmingham Groves)
There’s a ton to like about Sanders at the wing. She’s a long and athletic player that makes a lot of noise off the ball. Sanders can match up with the best with her versatility.
[player_tooltip player_id="244273" first="Mckenzie" last="Swanson"] (2024, PF, Bloomfield Hills Marian)
Swanson is a bona fide beast for Marian. She’s a walking, talking double-double. There aren’t many, if any, more skilled rebounders in Michigan. Swanson severely limits her opponents possessions with her work on the glass.
[player_tooltip player_id="147723" first="Sarah" last="Sylvester"] (2022, F, Birmingham Marian)
Sylvester is a terrific all around athlete. She’s incredibly slippery and tough to cover offensively and carries the ability to score from so many spots on the floor.
