Prep Girls Hoops Ohio will award the top players in the Buckeye state this season during state tournament week. [player_tooltip player_id="157680" first="Tai" last="Roberts"], 5-6 2022, Andrews Osborne Academy- In the senior class, one of Ohio’s top unsigned players remains. PG is capable of playing both ends of the floor, either pressing the ball or making plays with it in her hands. She’s at her finest when she goes into the paint and breaks down pick-and-roll defenses. Roberts (featured image) has good range, he can also score from the perimeter. [player_tooltip player_id="211795" first="Chloe" last="Peloquin"], 6-2 2022, Newark Catholic- On the defensive end, she is a long and agile player who makes a difference. Without the ball,s he moves effectively and is energetic. Very quick hands and feet to stop her defenders from scoring or getting passed her. [player_tooltip player_id="312675" first="Samantha" last="Hoelscher"], 5-8 2022, Maria Stein Marion Local- Had a fantastic senior season, earning MAC Player of the Year honors. Sam is a versatile guard who can play on both sides of the ball. She is capable of running the offense and scoring in all three areas. She has a good range, is a terrific floor leader, and is currently uncommitted. Has good ball control and is a capable on-ball defender. The lefty is a good stretch 4 kid who can score on the perimeter or get to the rim and finish. She led her team deep into the tournament. Has been consistent throughout the season. [player_tooltip player_id="360870" first="Emily" last="Siesel"], 5-7 2022, New Washington Buckeye Central- Emily has moved up this season and is a slick playmaker, making it appear effortless at times with her long strides. Defenders struggled to keep her in front of them. Defensively, she has a lot of length, which helps her to put a lot of pressure on the ball. She scored 1,000 points in her career and remained consistent throughout the season.
