[player_tooltip player_id="319655" first="Brooke" last="Bender"]- F, 5’11, 2025, Anthony Wayne: Boy, can I just combine both Brooke and Elise into one very long paragraph! Because college coaches, these young ladies could easily be an outstanding package at the next level! I love Brooke's length, her sense of knowing where to be on the court, when to cut, aggressive on defense- particularly in reading passes and picking pockets. And she knows how to get to the line! Super bright future! She had 12 points (6-9 FT, 3-5 FG), along with 7 rebounds and 2 steals- all in 11:27!
[player_tooltip player_id="319654" first="Elise" last="Bender"]- G/F, 5’11, 2025, Anthony Wayne: (Featured Photo, with ball) Both Benders are double trouble for opponents! Long, athletic frame, with a high basketball IQ, loves to dribble penetrate to the basket, while playing with composure. She handles the rock well, and she can shoot. Elise can hit from anywhere. And just like her sister, she can capitalize so well from the line, as she went 8-10. She finished with a double-double- 20 points, 16 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. [player_tooltip player_id="32618" first="Imarianah" last="Russell"]- G, 6’0, 2022, Reynoldsburg: On a multiple choice test, sometimes there's questions that have an answer such as D. All of the Above. Well, when talking about skill level, basketball IQ, and being a physically built machine, Russell is truly All of the Above! She puts a lot of time in the off season, as well as during season, to make herself incredibly difficult to stop. She's got a bright future with West Virginia University.
Samara Savoy- F, 6’0, 2023, Reynoldsburg: (Below, with ball) Samara played strong from the very beginning, knocking down shots with confidence. But it was her intensity on defense that made me smile! She goes after rebounds aggressively, anticipates passes which leads to steals and easy transition buckets. And she was perfect from the charity stripe, going 4-4. Great all-around performance! Savoy finished with 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals.
[player_tooltip player_id="212890" first="Makiya" last="Miller"]- G, 5’9, 2022, Reynoldsburg: (Below, with ball) For many years, I have told countless players, there's so much more to the game of basketball than scoring. Makiya has no problem scoring 15 or more a game, however, her number one focus is creating the absolute best shot for the team. Miller plays the point guard position incredibly well! Outstanding handles, doesn't turn the ball over, great vision, and strong defender!
