The high school basketball season has wrapped up and ended in great fashion. Twelve teams battled it out for the right to call themselves champions. We had some great games and some even better individual performances. Let’s recap some players you really did a great job on the biggest stage of the year in the championship game.
<strong>1st Team</strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="304704" first="Kenley" last="McCarn"] | Wing | Melbourne | 2022 (Most Oustanding Performance)</strong>
Kenley had the best performance of any player in the state championship round. This UT-Martin commit outscored Bigelow by herself by going 11-20 from the field with 6 made three-pointers, 3-4 from the free-throw line, while adding 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 0 turnovers in 29 minutes of play.
<strong>Maddie Holt | Guard | Bergman | 2023</strong>
Maddie had an outstanding performance vs Lamar. She poured in 17 first-half points to lead her team to the 2022 state championship title. Maddi was 8-12 from the field, with one made three-pointer, while also going 6-6 from the free-throw line in 30 minutes of play.

When the lights are on, every team needs a player to step up and play big. Anna was always counted on during the season, but this game was even bigger. Ann led her team with 24 points on 7-11 from the field with 1 three-pointer, 9-10 from the free-throw line, and adding 5 rebounds.

When you put up a double-double on the biggest stage in the biggest game of the year, that means you bringing it. Destine brought her A-game and wanted to go out on top. She finished with 17 points on 6-15 shooting, 4-4 from the free-throw line, and 11 rebounds.

Sidney played a complete, solid game throughout the contest. What better way to close out your high school career than to hit the game-winning shot to give your team a state championship. Sidney led her team in scoring with 14 points on 6-12 shooting while also grabbing 4 rebounds and dishing out 2 assists.
