The Lady Lancers, on Wednesday night, defeated Paul VI for the South Jersey Non-Public A title, but we will not be including statistics from that game as those have not been released.
In two postseason games, St. Rose is averaging 17.0 PPG, 10.0 RPG, 3.0 SPG and 1.5 made three-pointers a game. However, her full season stats up to the sectional final deserve a closer look.
St. Rose averaged 22.0 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 3.5 SPG and 2.6 APG in 26 regular season games, including three 30+ point performances.
She has undoubtedly been the backbone of this St. John Vianney program since her sophomore year, when she averaged 18.3 PPG for the Lady Lancers.
For her high school career to date, excluding the sectional final, St. Rose has scored 1660 points, knocked down 107 three-pointers and recorded 306 steals in 97 career games.
This honor is very much the culmination of one of the best careers we’ve seen from a high school girls basketball player in New Jersey.
The best part about this is that St. Rose is still very up for NJ Player of the Year contention and her high school career isn’t finished yet. With the win, St. John Vianney moves on to the non-public Tournament of Champions.
It has yet to be announced who the Lady Lancers will be playing in the semifinals of the TOC, but one thing is for sure: St. Rose will be ready to absolutely ball out on the court as she’s done her entire high school career.
Congrats once again to Madison St. Rose Madison St. Rose 5'10" | PG St. John Vianney | 2022 State #65 Nation NJ on winning the 2021-22 Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year in girls basketball and best of luck in the TOC semis.
