Amiyah Galica-Wisconsin Playground Club 2026 National
This group went 3-1 on the weekend, but I saw their only loss, and it was a rough start for Galica and her team. She showed flashes of what she does best. Garcia attacked the basket with aggression and finished with both hands. When Galica got the ball, she looked comfortable and confident attacking the press and getting by initial defenders in the half-court.
Francesca McLain-Wisconsin Playground Club 2026 National
I know I didn’t see McLain’s best game, but there is plenty of talent there. The main area that McLain will have to improve is her strength. Watching her warm-up, every shot out to 15-feet looks good. When she gets out to the 3-point line, her shot changes and the beautiful form she has inside the arc isn’t there anymore. As she gets stronger, her game will become complete, and her athleticism at 5-foot-10 will make her one to keep an eye on.
Kailey Wozniak Kailey Wozniak 5'9" | CG Pius Xi Catholic | 2023 State WI -Chapman Basketball Academy 2023
The Pius XI wing is one of my favorite prospects because of how she changes her role game-by-game. In the game I saw her play, she was in all-out attack mode on both ends. Wozniak attacked the basket and weaved through traffic for an and-one. She knocked down a few 3’s as well. Her only flaw I saw her play first was that her jumper wasn’t quite where you’d want it to be. Nowadays, she’s out of that slump, and I believe her shots will fall every time she puts it up. Defensively, she looks as athletic as ever and still stifles most drives that her assignments attempt.
Cadence Xiong Cadence Xiong 5'1" | PG West Bend East | 2023 State WI Chapman Basketball Academy 2023
The 5-foot-1 guard excelled at the Race for the Legacy in Waukesha. Xiong carried that momentum down into Illinois this week, and I watched her play well when I saw her group play. The West Bend native controlled the game and balanced her scoring and creation. She took what the defense gave her and never tried to do too much. I’ve seen her work on her in-between game in passing before her team’s warm-ups began, and she showed off that part of her game. The more I see her play for Chapman, the more impressed I am with her.
Chloe Netzinger-Metro Stars 2025
The Rogers freshman had the moment of the tournament. Netzinger scored a game-winning layup around an athletic 6-foot-2 forward. Throughout the game, she looked competitive and never shied away from the big moments. When she got the ball going to the basket with a few seconds left. She knew what to do.
Madisonn Fitzgibbonn Madisonn Fitzgibbonn 5'6" | SG Homestead | 2025 WI -Chapman Basketball Academy-2023 Frings
Fitzgibbon and her team played a physical game against the Alabama Twisters. That game wasn’t for the faint of heart. Players were diving on the floor and getting put on the floor in ways that weren’t dirty. It was hard-nosed and physical. All that was said to discuss how little any of the physical play affected Fitzgibbon. The Homestead freshman never seems to be rattled, and to end that game, Fitzgibbon was the difference. She scored six unanswered points after her team fell behind two with 90 seconds left. She’s a natural scorer who’s only to get better.
Lucy Leininger-Chapman Basketball Academy 2023-Frings
In Wisconsin, Leininger is one of the best defensive prospects in America’s Dairyland. All game long against the Alabama Twisters, Leininger was the main reason her team’s press was successful. Her length and athleticism created issues that led to the opposition turning the ball over in the backcourt. Leininger also had moments of individual brilliance on the defensive end. With a minute left and her team taking a one-point lead in their last possession, the Germantown native made a ridiculous play. Her assignment got the ball on the perimeter. She went left and took a 15-foot jumper. I’m not sure how, but Leininger somehow went up and blocked the shot cleanly to end that possession. Defensive plays like that and Leininger getting better offensively make her next few years intriguing.
