We released an updated rankings for the class of 2022 this week. The class of 2022 was loaded with talent in the top 50 with 40 of the top 50 signing D1 scholarships. We take a look four stock risers in the top 50 of the class of 2022.

Daniela Gonzalez Daniela Gonzalez 6'0" | SF Central Pointe Academy | 2022 State FL (Central Pointe Academy) 6’0 Wing/Forward – University of South Florida
New Ranking: 15
The talented 5’11 wing/forward is originally from Jamundi, Colombia. She has played two seasons at Central Pointe Christian Academy helping lead her team to a SIAA Florida state championship last season and was recognized as the 2022 SIAA Toshiba Player of the Year. She is a versatile, athletic, skilled player who played both forward and center at Central Pointe and will likely transition more to a wing at USF. She is a deadly 3-point shooter, who can put the ball to the floor from the perimeter and attack the rim. She uses her length and athleticism to be an impact player in the paint, rebounding the ball on the offensive and defensive glass, and altering shots at the rim! She moves up to # 15 in the new rankings!
Katie Ambrose Katie Ambrose 5'5" | PG Gulf Coast | 2022 State FL (Gulf Coast HS) 5’5 Point Guard – St. Francis (PA)
Ranking: 29
Ambrose is the floor leader and coach on the floor that every team needs. Ambrose has exceptional handle, who changes speed and direction exceptionally well with the ball in her hands. She handles the ball in the full court and half court versus pressure, does not turn the ball over, and gets the ball to scorings in prime scoring position. The 5’5 point guard had an exceptional Senior season for Gulf Coast, leading the Sharks to a 24-4 record before falling to the eventual 7A State Champion Dr. Phillips in the regional tournament. Ambrose averaged a team high 6.5 assists per game, to go along with 2.6 steals, 4.3 rebounds, and 10.4 points per game. She is signed and headed to St. Francis (PA) next season and moves up to # 29 in the final rankings.
Aspen Johnson Aspen Johnson 5'11" | SF Seminole Ridge | 2022 State FL (Seminole Ridge) 5’11 Wing – Mercer
Ranking: 30
Aspen is one of the biggest stock risers inside the top 50 moving up to # 30 in the final rankings for the class of 2022. The 5’11 wing is signed to Mercer and had a big time Senior season for Seminole Ridge! Johnson averaged 15.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game and led her squad to a 16-2 record. On the court, she is a big guard/wing who plays hard on both ends of the court. Her energy and passion that she plays with is infectious to her teammates, and she sets the tone on the court consistently game in and game out. The athletic guard can shoot it from 3 as well as put it to the floor and is a great leader that does a great job leading her teammates and it is very obvious how well liked and how much they enjoy playing with her.
Olivia Delancy Olivia Delancy 6'0" | SF Bogie HS | 2022 State FL (Boca Ciega HS) 6’0 Wing/Forward – Undecided
Ranking: 33
Delancy had a big-time season for Boca Ciega High School, finishing in the top 5 in the state of Florida in scoring averaging 23 points per game. At 6’0, she can play the wing and the forward spot. She has broad shoulders and a strong build, doing a great job of rebounding from the perimeter and using her build and strength to finish well vs contact in the paint. She also did a great job getting to the free throw line, averaging over 5 free throw attempts per game, as well as shooting 58% from 2, and 38% from 3. She is one of the top ranked unsigned players in the class of 2022.

This is the fourth and final rankings for the class of 2022. We have taken a look at players performance and potential with both their High School and Travel teams. If there is a player that not included in the rankings or you feel is not ranked properly, please email us at WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com and include Name, Height, Position, HS, Travel team, any stats available and any video available. Our goal is to cover the entire state, but we are well aware that we have not seen everyone in the state and those that we have seen, we have not seen all of them equally the same amount of time and games.

Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings have been compiled by our staff with input from high school, club and college coaches from across the state. Players are ranked on their status as a college prospect. We aim to expand and update our prospects rankings 2-4 times per year to continue to maintain the most comprehensive, accurate prospect rankings in the country.
