Cassandre Prosper (6’2/Shooting Guard/2023)
AAU Team: Become One
Instagram: N/A
Twitter: N/A
The #15 Player in the HoopGurlz 2023 Super 60 did not shy away from the stage, and the vast amount of college coaches gathered on the sidelines watching her play. She has length and positional size, which caused problems for offenses as she was at the top of her squad’s half-court zone. She created a lot of deflections and turnovers with her activity in the zone. She is a versatile defender who can guard numerous positions and guard one-on-one in space. When it comes to Cassandre’s game and this eval, most who follow girls basketball is knowledgeable of her and already know about the things that I am writing. For those of you who do not know her, stay with me as I continue introducing you to one of the most complete and sought-after players that was at the GUAA live period in Hoover, AL.
Offensively, she is a three-level scorer, has positional fluidity, and was a nightmare for defenders in iso situations.
She plays so hard on both ends of the court that she needs to continue to stay in the weight room to prepare her body for the wear and tear of a collegiate season. At times she was just head and shoulders above the competition. By default, you will hear more about Cassadre, especially as it gets closer to decision-making time.
According to ESPN’s HoopGurlz, Cassandre is Undecided.
Mikaylah Williams (6’1/Point Guard/2023)
AAU Team: Mavs Elite
Instagram: mkwill12_
Twitter: N/A
The #1 Player in the HoopGurlz 2023 Super 60 put all facets of her game on display in front of the coaches. She was adamant when it came to getting to the rack, and once she physically got going downhill, you might as well count 2 or yell, ‘AND ONE.’ She had all the tools in the toolbox on display over the weekend. With her size and level of physicality yet grace, she was hands down one of the best high-level scorers at the event.
When you watch her game closely, you will see how she punishes her defender’s mistakes.
She is definitely a 10-eye player, meaning every person on defense must have their eyes on her because that is what it will take to slow down Mikaylah, a village. Even when the perimeter defense is there, the shot-blocking presence is waiting in the lane, and help-side defense is in position, she still can demoralize a defense with her pull-up jumper from beyond the arc or from the 15-foot area. Then if a team just happens to get lucky and neutralize her scoring ability, as she showed at the GUAA Live Period Event in Hoover, she knows how to set the table for her teammates and make everyone around her not just better but another option to score the rock. Defensively she is extremely versatile and, against some teams, was able to guard the 1-5. So much can be said about her game, and if you stay close to our site, you will see more about this program changing prospect.
According to ESPN’s HoopGurlz, Mikaylah is Undecided.
Elle Blatchford (5’11/Point Guard/2023)
AAU Team: All Alabama
Instagram: elleblatchford2023
Twitter: N/A
Elle brought her talent from GA to play with All-Alabama, and she definitely elevates the team’s offense. She is a very aggressive guard off the bounce and is always looking to create with the ball in her hands.
Her playmaking mindset and ability make her a positive and unforgettable player on the court.
When Elle is in the game, the offense is done a disservice and is stagnant when the ball does not touch her hands, as she is just that valuable on the offensive end of the court for her squad. She has a good understanding of the game, and plays with an edge, making her a force to deal with.
Audreonia Benson (5’6/Shooting Guard/2023)
AAU Team: All Alabama
Instagram: themissaudre
Twitter: @AudreoniaB
Audreonia, AKA Audre, has been in my articles before as she is from the great state of Alabama, which I cover primarily. It was great seeing her out on the court, as the last time I had seen her was with her school squad.
She was still displaying the excellent end-to-end speed that she is known for.
A fellow PGH scout was sitting next to me and said she looks like a track star because she has next-level speed with the ball in her hands. I mentioned in an article before that the strength of her game is her speed and getting out in transition. I still want to see Audre continue to show her perimeter game and ability to score from outside, which will ultimately create driving lanes for her.
Milaysia Fulwiley (5’8/Point Guard/2023)
AAU Team: Team Curry
Instagram: laywitdabutter
Twitter: N/A
I watched Team Curry throughout the weekend, and often times it was while watching a court next to where they were playing. I say that because I watched Milaysia in spurts as she put in work. So, when I sat down to watch Team Curry, it just so happened that she struggled with leg cramps. However, I had already seen her offensive prowess. I saw her improvisational drives, her getting out in transition, her flashy finishes as she glided to the rim, her crafty finishes off the bounce in the half-court, and her smooth pull-up jumpers.
Defensively, she was highly active when I saw her throughout the weekend and often turned defense into offense.
She is an athletic guard listed as a PG but can play on or off the ball and is productive in either role.
Offers: Player did not complete the questionnaire.
Keslyn Grace Secrist (5’10/Wing/2023)
AAU Team: West Virginia Thunder
Instagram: keslyngracee
Twitter: @keslynsecrist16
One of the reasons defenders found it so hard to cover Keslyn was because of her constant moving without the ball. Her off-ball movement added a high degree of complexity to her squad’s offense. She is a high-energy wing on both ends of the court and gives maximum effort while she is in between the lines.
She often was out running lanes in transition, and when the ball got to her, she knew exactly what to do with the rock.
She excelled in transition and finished well at the cup. She has offensive and defensive versatility, and she showed her ability to score on O and be disruptive on D.
Offers: Indiana state, Concord
Mya Babbitt (5’8/Combo Guard/2023)
AAU Team: Nebraska Attack
Instagram: myababbitt
Twitter: @mjbabbitt13
Mya was one of the scrappiest players I saw throughout the weekend. She has a nice all-around game, good court vision, and is a good passer. Offensively, she is a player that plays with initiative as she does not stand waiting on the ball to find her. You have to keep an eye on her while she is on the court as she is constantly cutting, curling, exchanging, and replacing; in other words, she moves well without the ball.
Multiple defenders are required to keep tabs on Mya as she is a threat from beyond the arc and is lethal in c&s opportunities.
Would love to see Mya continue to work on getting a quicker release, but make no mistake about it; she has both the skills and the understanding to contribute in a wide variety of ways.
Offers: UNO, Kent State
