Lets take a look at some players starting with the 2025 Palmetto State and beyond. Prep Girls Hoops is your source for basketball coverage in the Palmetto State all year long.
Lauren Jacobs Lauren Jacobs 5'9" | PG Heathwood Hall | 2025 State SC (2025) – A’ja Wilson Elite 2025 – Cardinal Newman
Lauren did the best she could trying to keep her team in the game today vs Team Knight. Jacobs is geared to score the ball when on the floor. Lauren will look to attack the rack, shoot the 3 or manufacture some points on just effort playing defense. She is ALWAYS around the ball to make a play on either end of the floor.
Trinity Jones Trinity Jones 5'7" | PG Desert Vista | 2025 State AZ (2025) – A’ja Wilson Elite 2023 – Mauldin HS
Trinity plays up a few age groups on the 17U squad. Jones plays the game with a lot of confidence on the floor for Head Coach Jerome Dickerson. Trinity has good court vision and awareness to pick defenses apart at times. Trinity is only going to get better with her game, and she still has plenty of time to do just that since she is just a freshman currently.
Kadence Walker-Lee Kadence Walker-Lee 5'10" | PF Gray Collegiate | 2025 State SC (2025) – A’ja Wilson Elite 2025 – Gray Collegiate
Kadence logged a lot of minutes today and played very effective down in the paint. Kadence had her MOTOR running all game long. She does a nice job of using her body to draw contact and fend off defenders and has unreal footwork. Kadence really runs the floor and fills the lane like a guard at times – first one up and back several times today. She does a good job of keeping the ball up high after rebounding it and finishing on contact.
Prep Girls Hoops is looking for a breakout grassroots season circuit for her this spring and summer.
Camillea Gore Camillea Gore 6'0" | SG Heathwood Hall | 2025 State SC (2025) – A’ja Wilson Elite 2025 – Heathwood Hall
Camillea is at best at shooting guard when it comes down to knocking down shots on the perimeter. Gore can knockdown the 3-ball along with the short corner jumper. Camillea averaged 12.7 ppg this past season for the Lady Highlanders.
Aveion Walker Aveion Walker 5'10" | SF Denmark-Olar | 2025 State SC (2025) – SC Future 2024 – Denmark-Olar HS
Aveion plays up an age group with the SC Future program. Walker helped her Lady Vikings team get to the Class 1A State Championship Game this past season. Aveion rebounds the ball very well from her position along with bringing good versatility to the floor. She does a little bit of everything on the floor for her team.
Ava Owens Ava Owens 5'7" | PG Pickens | 2026 State SC (2026) – FBC Carolina Hawks Hatten 14U – Pickens HS (pictured on front)
Ava really understands on how to use good body control to the basket and finish. She finished at the rim several times today with her left-hand. Ava plays the game so fundamentally sound when it comes to shot selection, defense, passing and just knowing the game.
Jazzlyn McMillan Jazzlyn McMillan 5'9" | SF Fairfield Central | 2027 State SC (2027) – FBC Carolina Hawks Hatten 14U – Fairfield Central HS
Jazzlyn is very productive and efficient with her shot selection and playing. She brings constant hustle and a nose for the ball. McMillan plays the game very unselfish and really makes her a team player at all times. Jazzlyn is a very good passer and was always looking ahead for an open teammate on the break. She recorded 7 assists in this game I watched today. Jazzlyn finished on contact on the way to the cup.
Kaleigh Lucas – FBC Carolina Hawks Hatten 14U (2028) – Dutchmen Creek M.S. (Rock Hill)
Kaleigh aka Lil Momma had no fear playing up at all in age. Kaleigh is quite shifty with the ball in her hands and even dropped a few floaters a long the way today in the game. She already plays the game as a 6th grader with a FEARLESS Mindset – that’s scary in itself already. Lucas was the Offensive Player of the Year this past season for the Legion Collegiate JV Girls program. Lucas is currently a 6th grader – Class of 2028. WOW
