Peighton Jambor Peighton Jambor 6'2" | PF Berkeley | 2023 State SC – Upward Stars 3SSB – Berkeley HS (Moncks Corner)
Jambor plays the game with a high ceiling and a willingness to work inside the paint. Peighton plays the game with toughness and a competitive edge at all times. She will rebound the ball out of her area very well and fill the lane in transition like a guard at times. Peighton hasn’t reached her potential at all and when she does, she will make a college program very happy.
Kennedy Rivers Kennedy Rivers 5'5" | CG Philip Simmons | 2023 State SC – TMP 17U Black – Philip Simmons HS
Rivers came up big today for the Charleston area-based squad with her timely shooting from behind the arc. Kennedy connected on several three pointers to help TMP win its opener vs Hoop Dreams (GA). She really looks to set up shop out on the wing and play as a catch-shoot player. Rivers scored 13 points in the win over Hoop Dreams (GA).
Alaina Nettles Alaina Nettles 5'8" | CG Cane Bay | 2023 State SC – TMP 17U Black – Cane Bay HS (Summerville)
Nettles really has ice in her veins at time when the game is on the line for the big plays. Alaina was able to attack the basket by slashing to the rack on several occasions today. She finished drives to basket through contact all day long. Nettles came up with some timely steals in passing lanes that led to key buckets down the stretch for the win.
Laila Hankerson Laila Hankerson 5'6" | PG K.O.D. Skills Academy | 2023 NC – Team United Calhoun 17U – Rock Hill HS
Laila is just one of the 3 Hankerson sisters on this team. She’s extremely quick in the open court with the ball in her hands while getting by defenders. Laila plays the game with a fearless mindset and a great deal of confidence at all times. She brought disruption in the passing lanes and an ability to finish at the rim with both hands.
Kendahl Spearman Kendahl Spearman 5'7" | PG Legacy Early College | 2023 State SC – Upward Stars 3SSB – Emerald HS (Greenwood)
Spearman is donning a new uniform this summer and some new teammates. Kendahl likes to play fast and get up in an up-tempo style of play. She really has a nice mid-range pull-up game she likes to utilize when on the floor.
The Adidas bound Upward Stars 3SSB will head off to Hoover, AL in a few weeks for the first leg of Grassroots Circuit.
