MBA was well represented last weekend at the WPA Bruins Tip Off. They had the MBA UAA 2025, MBA UAA 2024 and MBA UAA 2023 teams all in action. They had team success and players that stood out at the event. Let’s look at the MBA team results as well as a closer look at some athletes that turned heads.

MBA UAA 2025

MBA UAA 2025 defeated FBC Queen City Ballerz by a score of 46-40.
MBA UAA 2025 defeated DC Premier 15u by a score of 47-21.
MBA UAA 2025 defeated 1 Nation 15u 3SSB by a score of 47-42.
Team Takeover 15u EYBL defeated MBA UAA 2025 by a score of 61-40.
Josie DeSmit (2025, Hudsonville)
Hudsonville isn’t going anywhere with talent like DeSmit coming up. She’s a point guard’s point guard, running the offense and setting the table.
[player_tooltip player_id="244754" first="Addison" last="Hovey"] (2025, Hart)
Hovey is a versatile star with a big time future. She was all over the glass at the Tip Off.
Camryn VandenBosch (2025, Holland Christian)
VandenBosch is a name to get used to around the state of Michigan. She shot the ball very well from behind the arc. VandenBosch was able to push the ball in transition off the rebound.

MBA UAA 2024

Philly Rise 16u EYBL defeated MBA UAA 2024 by a score of 57-27.
MBA UAA 2024 defeated New Heights NYC 10th Red by a score of 52-50.
Philly Belles Peterson defeated MBA UAA 2024 by a score of 54-32.
Team Takeover 16u EYBL defeated MBA UAA 2024 by a score of 59-42.
[player_tooltip player_id="244300" first="Tayla" last="Dillard"] (2024, Kalamazoo Central)
Dillard was very impressive to watch. She showed that she has length, strength, and skill that is tough to match up with at the guard spot.
[player_tooltip player_id="335986" first="Gracie" last="Rakosky"] (2024, Grandville)
Rakosky showed why she’s a very intriguing point guard prospect. She was able to control the pace of the game and flaunted the ability to make some tremendous passes.

MBA UAA 2023

Exodus NYC 17u defeated MBA UAA 2023 by a score of 62-26.
MBA UAA 2023 defeated SLAAM Woodson 2023 by a score of 56-24.
MBA UAA 2024 defeated WPA Bruins 17u UAA by a score of 54-39.
MBA UAA 2024 defeated WV Thunder UAA by a score of 64-60.
[player_tooltip player_id="188582" first="Macy" last="Brown"] (2023, East Grand Rapids)
[player_tooltip player_id="188582" first="Macy" last="Brown"] did [player_tooltip player_id="188582" first="Macy" last="Brown"] things at the Tip Off. What are those things? Basically everything. She shot the ball well, worked as the primary ball handler, and dug her feet in on the defensive end as well.
[player_tooltip player_id="188564" first="Maddie" last="Petroelje"] (2023, Hudsonville)
Petroelje is in my opinion, underrated outside the state of Michigan. Honestly, I’d rank her on a national scale. She showed a feel for the ebbs and flows of the game and shot the ball at a high percentage at the event.
[player_tooltip player_id="189281" first="McKenna" last="Ferguson"] (2023, Byron Center)
Ferguson’s game continues to grow and it’s impressive to watch. She’s tough as nails and it showed last weekend when she finished strong at the rim.
[player_tooltip player_id="189309" first="Kynnedy" last="Brown"] (2023, Kalamazoo Central)
It’s pretty impressive to have your athleticism stand out in a gym full of elite athletes, but Brown did just that. She showed her quickness by rebounding and getting down the floor fast and out in transition.
