This could have been true about the 15u teams that I watched put on shows this past weekend, but the truth of the matter is the quality in these below teams stood out. There were a lot of good teams in the 15u division and out of the 26 teams in the division here is a look at my top 6:
Pink Elite 2025
Watching this team play the size and length was just eye-catching. A team that was filled with girls that could put the ball on the floor and make decisions quickly. This team did not look like a team that was playing for the first time, but rather looked like a team that has players that have been there before inexperience. Great coach in this program that allows her kids to play and create opportunities for themselves and others. A lot of the pink elite girls have a lot of varsity-level experience on the basketball court which was shown all weekend. Pink Elite is a team that has the pieces that fit and the size and length that they need to continue being successful.
Wisconsin Playground Elite
They have a playground in their name, but nothing about playing this team is really fun for opponents, but I am sure it is for everyone rooting for them. This team is guard-heavy with players that can put the basketball in the hood. Flashy guard play and shooters that can shoot. They do a great job of forcing turnovers and finishing in transition. Wisconsin Playground Elite is a program that you have to be ready to play at your best every time and even then they are so dynamic with a lot of pieces that it might not be enough. Keep an eye on this program as their athletic ability, flashy game style and multiple players that can score fashionably makes this team special.
Indiana Red Storm
The red storm is a well-balanced team and on day one Ka’nyriah Ridley was impressive and so was Kea’driah Butler. They are a team that plays hard and they play together. This team doesn’t give up many perimeter shots and opportunities for others come few. Watching this team lets you know that the game is being played the right way watching the shot fakes, catch, and shooting as well as the finishes. The Indiana Red storms are a good organization and a team that is consistent and from the outside looking a foundation of togetherness.
Midwest Elite
Hands down one of the most unselfish teams at the victory region kick-off. The energy and efforts that this basketball team played with all weekend were as consistent as you can be. This team has all the pieces they need to compete against any 15u team in my opinion. Midwest Elite doesn’t take many bad shots at all and that ” one more” pass is what no one on that team has a problem with. The starters are who they are, but this program has a roster full that plays the game the right way.
City Elite Basketball
This team balled together all weekend and applied pressure putting themselves in the driver’s seat for a lot of success. This team is focused on getting better and noting that they took an extra game to work on improving as a team. Aggressive style of play that led to finishes around the rim in most games. Just in the weekend, I saw a team that was committed to one another and displayed the willingness sacrifices with a ” We” over me mentality. City Elite Basketball Club has a good team that will be fun to track.
Dayton Metro- Stevie
Dayton Metro is a well-coached ball club. Off the court, they are all eyes locked in on their coach and it translates to the court. Coach Stevie puts her team in positions as they execute. This young team communicates well on both sides of the ball. Unselfish living is the name of the game for the Dayton metro 2025 team. Whatever is said they go out and they work their hardest to execute it. Every team plays, but not every team can communicate and play together and be as efficient as I watched this team play regardless of the game.
