The Class of 2023 has a strong presence of perimeter players, both at the point and on the wing. As far as off-guards go, our Top-200 is home to 47 of them, making up 23.5% of all 2023 prospects ranked in Indiana. There are several talented, high-scoring girls, nice athletes, versatile defenders, and playmakers who can occasionally run the offense. Below is a look at those 47 prospects, as well as some added information and analysis on a handful of girls who have stood out since our last rankings update in January.

– Gloria is not necessarily new to our rankings, but she is new to the 2023 list. Gloria has opted to reclassify as a 2023 prospect moving forward, and it should give her more opportunities to play in front of college coaches this Spring and Summer. She is a tough-nosed, fairly strong, and quick-footed, pure scorer. She can make shots with range from outside, but she has a unique ability to finish at all angles inside.

– I’ve had Logan’s name for a little while, but March was my first opportunity to catch her in action. She has an athletic frame, some speed, quickness, and bounce to her, and she can get gritty and battle bigger opponents. She has good ball skill and the ability to initiate/run offense, but she has touch outside and can get to the basket and score it in a variety of ways. I also like her willingness to defend the ball.

– Dionna is a nice, long, wiry-strong wing guard. She is a North/South athlete who typically tries to get downhill on each catch. She started to shoot the ball more consistently from the perimeter late this season, and if she can make that permanent, she’ll be a multilevel scoring threat long-term. I also like her versatility defensively, as she uses her length and athleticism to defend some ’1s’, all ’2s’, and smaller ’3s’.

, 2023, 5-7 CG, Andrean H.S.
– Lauren has never been a power guard, but she is noticeably stronger and is taking contact better this Spring. She is long, fluidly athletic, and she is good attacking to her right. She has touch outside, and with range to about 25-feet. As she continues gaining strength, look for her perimeter shooting to be even better, and for her to finish more inside. She will need to be more dynamic with her left hand, though.

Hobart | 2023

, 2023, 5-9 CG, Hobart H.S.
– Asia had a big season for a team that couldn’t put a lot of talent in the lineup around her. She is very athletic, quick-footed even, and she can be a lockdown defender when she wants. Offensively, she has a solid handle and good vision, so she can run offense. But she is a bucket-maker, and she can score the ball at a high-level from most spots on the floor. Being more efficient has certainly helped her rise.

, 2023, 5-8 SG/SF, Franklin Community H.S.
– The last of four sisters, Adelyn’s game has changed over the years. When she was younger, she was more of a mid-post forward who battled inside, rebounded, and defended players bigger than herself. Now, at times she looks like a spitting image of her 2022 sister

. Adelyn has been great defensively this Spring, and she’s showing a nice feel for the game and an improved handle and jumper.
