The Class of 2024 has a really nice mix of wings, and currently our Top-150 is home to 41 small forward prospects who make up 27.3% of all 2024 prospects ranked in Indiana. Among this group are point forwards, shooters, slashers, multilevel scorers, and talented, versatile athletes. Below is a look at those 41 prospects, as well as some added information and analysis on a handful of girls who have stood out since our last rankings update in January.
Newcomers

Lake Central | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-8 SF, Lake Central H.S.
– Lake Central is very deep and talented right now, so it can be difficult to stand out at times. However, Nadia has sort of found her niche as an energy kid who comes off the bench and gives them “starter’s minutes” at times as a tough-nosed defender. She is strong, very athletic, and she plays with nice versatility. She will also rebound the ball, and she can score it a little at all three levels.

Lapel | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-10 SF, Lapel H.S.
– Maddy transferred into Lapel from Fishers this past season, and it opened up a lot of Varsity opportunity, as she stepped in and averaged 8.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in 25 games played. She is long, fluidly athletic, and somewhat bouncy, plus she plays with a very nice motor. She can attack the basket off the bounce or knock down the occasional jumper, and she works hard defensively.

New Prairie | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-9 SF, New Prairie H.S.
– Morgan is built more like a power player with broad shoulders and nice strength, but she possesses good perimeter skill. She can handle the ball and even initiate the offense from time to time, she can make a dribble-move and attack the basket North/South, and she has nice touch around the perimeter and can get on hot streaks. She’ll defend ‘3s’, smaller ‘4s’, and she’ll get inside and rebound.
Stock-Risers
Brooklyn Bell, 2024, 6-1 SF, Greenwood Community H.S.
– Now that Brooklyn is starting to get stronger, she is playing with more consistency. She was already tall two Summers ago, and she has always flashed nice perimeter skill. She’s actually more of a ball-handler and distributor than a scorer, almost like a point forward with great height, but she has looked for her shot more over the past six months. I would expect her to make another jump offensively this year.
Erica Buening

5'9" | PF
Franklin Community | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-9 SF, Franklin Community H.S.
– Erica is one of those kids who finds her way onto the floor by just being productive. She can score the ball in the mid-post, she can knock down open perimeter jumpers, and she can attack the basket on occasion. But she plays with an outstanding motor, so when she’s not scoring it, she can contribute by rebounding, defending, screening, and finding open teammates. She can fit in most lineups.
Becca Gerdt

Valparaiso | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-11 SF, Valparaiso H.S.
– Becca put together a really nice Sophomore campaign, leading the Lady Vikings in scoring at 10.8 points per game. And my gut tells me she’s only going to trend up with more time and development to her game. She is long, wiry-strong, and she moves around the floor very well. She can knock down shots outside, or attack the basket and finish, plus she’s a willing rebounder and a versatile defender.
Aleyna Quinn

5'9" | SF
Castle | 2024
IN
, 2024, 5-9 SF, Castle H.S.
– Aleyna got off to a hot start, averaging double-figures through her first nine games, but an early December injury only allowed her to play in 13 total games this season, as she didn’t return until the Sectional. She is a solid perimeter shooter, a nice all-around athlete, and she will likely be their focal point moving forward. She is also a high-level soccer player, so you won’t see her in grassroots basketball.
Madison Wagner

Carroll (Flora) | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-9 SF, Carroll H.S. (Flora)
– Madison had an outstanding Winter season in 2021-2022, averaging 16.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. She also knocked down 55 3-pointers at a 35% rate, and she shot 71% from the free throw line. Madison has a fairly strong frame, she’s a nice North/South athlete, and she plays with a motor. She’ll rebound, defend, and she will make a lot of the little hustle plays as well.
