It’s difficult to ever walk away from one of Shena’s games and say she wasn’t a ball of energy. She is all over the place. She is constantly on attack offensively and never stops moving. She hit a variety of pull-ups, long-range jumpers, and even had a really nice and-1 reverse layup in the game I saw. She is showing more discipline/better shot selection offensively, but she is difficult to defend because of her explosiveness. She is wiry-strong and absorbs contact well, plus she has great speed and quickness. Defensively, she can be a real problem as a lockdown, 94-foot, on-ball defender.

From a purely run-and-jump standpoint, Shena is one of the most athletic kids in Indiana’s 2024 class. She has an athletic frame as well, and she plays with an outstanding motor. Defensively, she can lock up, and she can even take on some point guards and some undersized forwards. Offensively, she continues to build her skillset, and while she has always attacked the basket effectively, she is becoming a dangerous deep shooter. She’s also improving her discipline and understanding of the game.

Shena had an outstanding Summer, and she is already drawing the eyes of some of the better small colleges in the Midwest. A strong Winter at La Lumiere, and her interest should continue to grow. She is a long, wiry-strong, quick, fast, and bouncy athlete. She plays with a nonstop motor, flies all over the floor, and she can be an intimidating 84-foot defender to opposing ball-handlers at times. She can even defend some point guards full-court. Offensively, she is a scorer. She loves the ball in her hands, and she can make shots with range.
