Allie Fullem, 5’11 F – Mount Mansfield High School / Blueprint Basketball – Class of ’23
Allie is one of those modern forwards who’s comfortable stepping out to the wing, moving the ball on the perimeter and knocking down the three. She can also muscle down low, and in doing so gets to the charity stripe often where she’s a consistent bucket. Fullem also has sound defensive instincts; she rose to the occasion in the playoffs and played huge minutes in the post by clogging the lane, challenging shots and snatching loose balls. If she adds some mid post moves to her repertoire and improves the consistency on her outside shot, she’ll be able to score at all three levels while also being a defensive anchor.
Karsyn Bellomo, 5’7 G – Rutland High School / Blueprint Basketball – Class of ’23
Bellomo is one of those players who seems to be a natural hooper. She has a nice crossover going either direction and can get downhill in a hurry with her quickness. Karsyn is capable of scoring at all three levels and I saw her put down a huge three to equalize with ten seconds left in the quarterfinals against eventual runners-up MMU. This kid has grit and loves the big moment. She can lock up guards and wings and doesn’t shy away from physicality nor pressure moments; she’s a natural on-court leader and a Dream Dozen selection from the Burlington Free Press.
Addi Hunter, 5’10 F – Champlain Valley Union High School / Lone Wolf Athletics – Class of ’23
Addi is another natural hooper; her instincts on both sides of the ball are a notch above many other players and she has a great sense of space and time. Addi is an inside-out forward who has a 15-foot jumper in her arsenal and an array of post moves that can dizzy opponents. Moreover, she has a great motor and is keen at tracking down offensive boards for second chance points. I look forward to seeing what she adds to her bag over the AAU season.
Ele Sellers, 5’10 F – Middlebury Union High School / AAU Unknown – Class of ’23
Sellers has developed a nice array of guard skills that work in tandem with her natural capabilities in the post. Ele has good senses on the glass, but she’s also comfortable advancing the ball as an outlet. She can score inside and out by posting up, dropping a catch and shoot jumper, or creating a look off the bounce. Sellers will be Middlebury’s first option next year and I anticipate she’s going to fill it up nightly.
Lauren-Kate Garceau, 5’9 G – BFA St. Albans High School / Lone Wolf Athletics – Class of ’23
Garceau is a long combo guard who gets up and down the floor well; she’s capable of leading the break off the dribble or filling the lanes when pushing in transition. In the half-court she’s poised and patient, rarely forcing shots or passes. Lauren-Kate can fill numerous roles too, as I’ve seen her move seamlessly from the wing to the high and mid post against zone defenses. Defensively she digs in and often gets the toughest assignments on opposing ballhandlers. Ultimately, Garceau is an all-around player, and if she improves her scoring ability she’ll take her game to the next level.
