Team Preview- Dayton Lady Hoopstars Premier

Spring travel basketball season is underway, here is a team preview for the Dayton Lady Hoopstars Premier Team! <strong>Sophie</strong> <strong>Huffman (Wilmington)-</strong> Excellent point guard with outstanding ball handling skills, top-notch speed, and the ability to control the game’s tempo.  Excellent passer with good court vision, able to push the ball in transition and find the open player. She is a natural point guard captain and is good on defense. <div dir="auto"><strong>Margo Lambert (Centerville)-</strong> Can play the game quickly, has good speed, and can defend a variety of places. She can take the ball to the rim and finish in the paint. She also has a terrific touch on the perimeter, allowing her to beat you in a variety of ways.</div> <div dir="auto"></div> <div dir="auto"><strong>Delaney Peck (Liberty Union)-</strong> Her popularity continues to climb, since the fiery guard possesses a wide range of abilities and strategies for defeating you. She has excellent foot speed and handling, which allows her to push the ball forward in transition. She is not frightened of contact and can defend herself.</div> <div dir="auto"></div> <div dir="auto"><strong>Chloe Glenn (Ottawa Glandorf)- </strong>Due to an injury, Chloe is unlikely to participate this summer, but she is a powerful, skilled child who does an outstanding job around the hoop and can play back to the basket or facing the basket. She’s a winner wherever she goes because she’s full of enthusiasm. Can effectively defend the position.</div> <div dir="auto"></div> <div dir="auto"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="216006" first="Gabby" last="Russell"] (Tecumseh)-</strong> A player who can beat you from the inside and outside, she can handle the ball very well. She is able to take the ball to the rim and finish through contact. Her basketball IQ is high and along with all of that she is able to pull down rebounds and defend multiple positions.</div> <div dir="auto"></div> <div dir="auto"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="93541" first="Kendal" last="George"] (Centerville)- </strong>An excellent shooting guard who will shoot lights out from the outside. George <em>(featured image)</em> can also defend the ball well with her quickness to get steals. She is patient on the offensive end and has a quick pull up jumper from mid-range. A very bright future ahead.</div> <div dir="auto"></div> <div dir="auto"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="93548" first="Morgan" last="Hunt"] (Tri-Village)- </strong>Hunt is a very physical and strong player who is everywhere on the court. Very hardnosed player who is not afraid to take you to the rim and shoot it from mid-range. She can pull down rebounds and go to work around the rim.</div> <div dir="auto"></div> <div dir="auto"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="93536" first="Sami" last="Bardonaro"] (Butler)- </strong>Can play the game very well. Shoots the ball very well from the outside. A very talented guard who will shut you down on defense and take you to the rim to score on the other end. Love watching her play and have been for years, she can do it all. Very smart player who lets the game come to her, and she takes care of the rest.</div> <div dir="auto"></div> <div dir="auto"><strong>Serena Baker (Fairmont)-</strong> Very tall and athletic player who can pull down rebounds, she has good range for her size. Works well around the rim while running in transition. Smart basketball IQ with good handles.</div> <div dir="auto"></div> <div dir="auto"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="216007" first="Riley" last="Hodson"] (Valley View)-</strong> Excellent defensive player, good on-ball defense. Improved her offensive production, excellent perimeter shooter, and can also put the ball to the floor and get to the rim. Look for her to take on a bigger role next year as a Senior leader.</div>
