The Dynasty Region Finals took place in Kansas City and day 1 of action didn't disappoint. Day 1 featured some really good teams and individual play. Here are some players from the 15U division that stood out.
[player_tooltip player_id="374162" first="Olivia" last="Mortensen"] | Wing | BC Denver 2025 | 2025
Olivia is a wing player but can slide over to the point position and run the team. She has a nice handle that allows her to get to the rim with her ability to change direction and speed. When she doesn't possess the ball she moves well without the ball finding vulnerable areas in the defense to make plays.
Kate Wiginton | Guard | Ok Swift 2025 | 2025
Kate is a solid ball player. She plays her game and allows everything to come to her. She's good off the catch and attacking closeouts. If the defense is late on the closeout she can drain the catch and shoot three-pointer. If they are over aggressive she can put the ball on the floor and hit the mid-range pull-up jumper. She also applies good pressure when on defense.
[player_tooltip player_id="329405" first="Savannah" last="Weiss"] | Point Guard | BC Denver 2025 | 2025
Savannah is small in size but plays with a big heart. I got the chance to see her play throughout the day and one thing I loved about her game is her consistency. I saw the same effort and energy from her throughout the day. It didn't matter if her team was winning or losing, Savannah was playing hard. She made several catch and shoot three-pointers, attacked the defense off the bounce and found an open teammate for the finish or finished herself in the lane.
[player_tooltip player_id="338972" first="Taelor" last="Tomlinson"] | Guard | [program_tooltip program_id='715977' first='AAO' last='Flight'] 2025 | 2025
When you talk about players that can stretch the defense Taelor is definitely one of those players. You have to come out beyond the three-point line and stay attached because she can let them fly several feet behind the three-point line. But she's not just a shooter. She also gets after it on defense and plays the passing lanes well.
Blythe Crowley | Wing | Lions Elite 2025 | 2025
Blythe got into a good rhythm during day 1. The I was able to see she was able to make some shots from behind the three-point line and attack off the dribble. By making threes it forced the defense to closeout hard and that allowed her to get into her mid-range pull-up or finish at the rim. She could also get out on the break and make plays in transition.
