Alexandra Gordon 2027 6’0 Kinkaid High School, TX (Just Play Elite 2026 JT)
Alexandra is a skilled forward who knows how to use her frame to dominate in the paint. She constantly grabbed defensive rebounds and made elite outlet passes to find teammates in the full court streaking to the basket, or making the right pass and letting her lead guard walk the ball up the court. Also on the defensive side, she showed a great ability to move her feet and defend on the perimeter and contest shots. I was very impressed by her ability to do it all on the defensive end of the floor including protecting the paint and collecting rebounds. On the offensive side of the floor, she is good at using her size to dominate with her back to the basket and calmly finish after shifting her opponent out of the way to get a bunny hook shot off. She looks to have all the tools to develop into a high level and dynamic basketball player on both ends of the floor and I am excited to watch her develop.
Tamaria Cummings 2026 5’11 TX (House4Hoops 2026)
Tamaria is an athletic big who moves incredibly well and showed an ability to defend high level guards on the perimeter while also having a defensive impact in the paint. Her ability to slide her feet and keep everything in front of her was very impressive, but the versatility she showed on the offensive end really stood out. She can operate out of the mid post and create looks for her cutting teammates as she draws the other big out of the lane, or can dominate you with her size and aggressiveness in the paint. I was very impressed with her ability to do it all on the offensive and defensive glass, she routinely sealed off her defenders from every having a chance at a rebound. She high pointed the ball well and was strong with the basketball when she came down. Her ability to use her size to keep her defender on her back will allow her to continue to live at the free throw line and give herself easy second chance points. Her ability to keep her opponents off the glass allowed her guard to scoop up long rebounds and run on the break.
Jyrah Gray 2026 5’3 Liberty Hill MS, TX (House4Hoops 2026)
Jyrah is an aggressive guard who has lightning quick hands which pairs well with the intense energy she brings on the defensive end of the floor. Her ability to play in transition, especially after yanking the ball from her opponent really stood out. She has a tight handle that allows her to actively create space in the half court or the full court. She has good speed and really uses it as a weapon with the control she has with the ball. She is a monster on the fast break where she consistently got to the rim and finished in the paint, or made the right decision and made a pass up the court.
Sydney Marshall 2027 5’10 Kinkaid High School, TX (Just Play Elite 2026 JT)
Sydney is an athletic forward who really stood out during her time on the court through her ability to rebound the ball and make plays on the defensive side of the court. She is a very skilled trapper who is good at making her opponent uncomfortable. She not only reads the defense and plays in the passing lanes but truly reads ball handlers and has a nose for where they want to go with the basketball. She is an elite defender for her age and I was very impressed with her ability to move her feet and protect the paint. Marshall is not just an aware player on defense, she routinely makes good decisions without the basketball through her constant motion that Just Play Elite runs. She always makes good off ball cuts to the rim, and pops out beyond the arc when necessary. She is not afraid of contact in the paint and can attack the defense with a live dribble. She looks like she has all the tools to develop into a highly skilled three and d wing.
Mira Johnson 2026 5’6 Hogg MS, TX (Just Play Elite 2026 Ellesse)
Mira is a dominant guard with her ability to get into the teeth of the defense and attack the rim. Her overall energy and nonstop nature to her game allowed her to live at the free throw line. She displayed consistency at the free throw line and an ability to score off the bounce from the midrange and beyond the arc. She was especially dominant in the corners and the wing positions, where she calmly knocked down shots off the catch. It really opened up the floor for her and allowed her to attack the rim with that much more success. I loved her hustle and the energy she brought to both ends of the court. I am intrigued to watch her develop over the next year!
