Marshall keeps showing me something different, yet her crossover and step-back jumper JUST DID IT for me. She understands positioning and outrebounds taller players; she’s heady and is showing she can play multiple positions, but her defense inside the paint was really good. She also showed “on the ball” pressure baseline to baseline, and she played the passing lane, plus her court vision was solid

Marshall is showing that she can dominate on either end when needed, yet her versatility in playing multiple positions is a huge plus. She scores around the basket, putbacks included, yes, she rebounds on both ends, but her midrange is definitely a problem for defenders, especially since she can score off the dribble. Court vision is solid, and she defends inside and outside the paint

#18 up from #22, I will never forget my first conversation with Marshall at a basketball game when she was breaking down defenses, as well as player evaluations, she was in elementary school, so I knew what was coming. Her midrange game looks good, she’s also overpowering defenders off the dribble and under control, but her defense has also shot up see evaluations here

Marshall has also elevated her game from being a “back to the basket” player to one who can not only rebound and go “coast to coast” for layups or drop the “stop and pop” in transition, but she’s also creating her shot in the set to drop the jumper. Don’t get it twisted, she’s strong and scores after contact inside the paint, plus her defense has shot up on the perimeter

Marshall continues to elevate her game like she elevates on her midrange jumper and that has become a problem for defenders. Watching her grow from a back-to-the-basket player, which can still use to her advantage and score using that “hands and footwork” I love to see has been nice. She also hit the boards and scored off the dribble

I usually love watching Marshall for her tremendous passing, but she needs to be highlighted for her tough defense. It is evident that she is an extension of her coach on the floor by the way she communicates with her entire team. She is loud and constantly communicating. The way she moves to help side defense, and actively finds a man on the opposite side to box out is impressive for a sophomore- early in the season at that. She is more than willing to take the charge and usually shifts over to be in the correct position to take one.

Marshall was missed by me all club season and I’ve mentioned with the numerous platforms out there, there is no way I can catch everyone. I caught a video floating around on the internet with her showing the midrange, so she was going to be JEFFERSONIZED “Movin On Up” anyway yet her performance at the Girls Super 16 has her elevating 11 spots see evaluation here

Marshall also falls into that I knew her “before she was born” category, keep in mind I’ve been out here since the turn of the century, and speaking of turns, well she has turned many corners. If I had a “most improved” squad, she would be at the top of the list and her adding a legitimate midrange jumper will elevate her stock on the next update. She’s handling the ball and seeing the floor in the open court yet her strength around the basket to score, as well as off the dribble is a problem, and so is her defense

Marshall will forever have one of my fondest memories embedded in my mind as we were sitting at a game together while she was in elementary school and evaluating the players, on the money. Here’s the deal, she has gone from a “back to the basket” player to a terror to guard from the wing off the dribble because she is strong and finishes with power. I hadn’t seen her in action yet a video flashed before showing the midrange jumper as well as the “stop and pop” so that, her defense and rebounding will have me on the edge of my seating waiting to catch her LIVE

Marshall is strong and overpowering around the basket and although she is a couple of inches shy of “the magic number”, she plays as if she’s taller and watching her outrebound players much taller shows she understand positioning yet her comprehension of the game blew me away when she was in elementary school and as we were talking, she was giving “on the money” evaluations. Her passes are also on the money as she plays multiple position yet scoring inside the paint after contact is a plus, so is her driving from the wing to score as well as facing the basket and dropping the jumper
