2023’s Rankings- Part 2

Shooters shoot, and I’m pretty confident she likes about any shot! Fantastic range, can nail the deep 3’s. I like her quick decisions- if there’s a fast break, she’s gone! However, she knows when to slow down and allow for the team to set up offense. Reads passes very well. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="270524" first="Laila" last="Marshall"]- 5’8, SG, Gahanna Lincoln:</strong>  <em>(Below, with ball) There’s</em> not a better feeling than coaching kids that flat out put their heart out on the floor and work! Marshall does this! She’s crafty with her moves to the basket, can shoot well from outside, and handles the rock well! Marshall takes pride on the defensive end, and crashes the boards. Look for her to have a big senior year. <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-366862" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/12/IMG_9561.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="214499" first="Tamara" last="Ortiz"]- 5’4, PG, Westerville South: </strong>(<em>Below, shooting) </em>I’ve had the opportunity to watch Tamara play for at least 4 years, and her game has elevated so much. Her competitiveness to stop anyone she guards, is very evident! Ortiz’s hands are active on defense, and gives very little room for opponents to shoot! Definitely a pest on defense! Offensively, she can put up points, very quickly! Outstanding handles! <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-277878" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/04/IMG_9596.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="360883" first="Neveah" last="Cable"]- 5’8, CG, Toledo Notre Dame: </strong>Cable is the type of player that just plays well in all categories! She’s dependable, and does everything- she rebounds well, and is aggressive on defense, which leads to picking pockets and scoring on transition. And she’s always looking to push the ball, finding the open teammate. I like her game a lot! <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="441896" first="Carly" last="Prows"]- 6’1, SF, Mason: </strong>Lots to say about this young lady! Her footwork, and how she fights for position inside is outstanding! Drop step moves are powerful! She finds ways to get the ball in the basket. Very reliable hands, always ready for passes. Love her physical game! No problem connecting her free throws. She handles the ball well- can go coast to coast! (<em>Featured Photo, with ball)</em>
