Arizona Clash 2024/2025 Rising Stars

This past weekend I attended Arizona Preps Summer Clash tournament featuring some of the top High School Girl’s basketball teams in the state of Arizona. The teams attending included: Poston Butte, Thatcher, Deer Valley, Miami, Ridgeline Academy, Mountain Ridge, Flagstaff, Catalina Foothills, Sandra Day O Connor, Eastmark, Southern Arizona Prep, Canyon View, Sunnyside, Peoria, Cibola and Casa Grande.   These 2024/2025 prospects are on the rise this upcoming season: 2024 5’10 G [player_tooltip player_id="205661" first="Sierra" last="Bomhower"] (Cibola): At 5’10 She is a very lengthy and uses her wingspan to create deflections. Bomhower is a very skilled guard and has great size. She is capable of beating her opponent of the dribble as well as finishing over her in the post. A nightmare matchup for smaller defenders. 2025 G Symirah Gray (Poston Butte)- Gray is an athletic guard who is very strong with the ball. She is a smart player who passes well and is a crafty finisher at the rim. Her quickness allows her to breakdown her defenders with ease. She will be fun to watch over the next few years. 2024 [player_tooltip player_id="205671" first="Nadya" last="Gutierrez"] (Deer Valley)- Gutierrez is a scoring guard for Deer Valley. She can shoot it from 3, get to the lane, and play high pressure defense. Gutierrez is a really good prospect in the class of 2024. 2024 6’5 Aj Lual (Southern AZ Prep): Lual is a lengthy wing/post player. She has the capability of playing both on the wing as well as inside at 6’5. Paired with Magot makes Southern AZ Prep a nightmare to try and rebound against. Expect Lual to have a big season for Southern AZ Prep this year. 2024 5’6 G [player_tooltip player_id="205678" first="Taylee" last="Stuebs"] ( Cibola): Stuebs is a quick guard that uses her quickness to get by defenders. Stuebs has the ability to knock down open shots as well as finish in the lane. Stuebs also handles the ball really well. Look for Stuebs to be a key part in a very talented Cibola squad.
