Beyond Amazing Team Camp: 2023 Top Performers

Prep Girls Hoops made the trip up to the Myrtle Beach Sports Center to take in the action from the Sylvia Hatchell’s Beyond Amazing Team Camp. Let’s take a look at some of the players we saw in attendance today from the 2023 Class. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="174560" first="Sailor" last="Rearden"] - Socastee HS (Myrtle Beach) (pictured on front)</strong> Rearden was swarming the ball today in a lopsided win over Lexington HS (NC). Sailor was able to execute some short jumpers when she wasn’t finishing at the rim with her left-hand. She really has good mechanics on her shot from the perimeter and foul line. Sailor will provide senior leadership for the Lady Braves this coming season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="444359" first="Janiya" last="Swinton"] - Wilson HS (Florence)</strong> Swinton is a bit of unsung player on this Lady Tigers roster with her play. Janiya has a great mid-range pull-up game. She shoots the ball at a good clip when she gets to shoot it. She would really benefit at times with some more looks from the perimeter. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-449931" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/06/117DA7B2-DB9F-440C-92E0-F337AE3E18BD.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="449789" first="Otaifo" last="Esenabhalu"] - Lowndes HS (Valdosta, GA) </strong> Otaifo is very athletic and really runs the floor well. She has a great set of hands and footwork around the paint. Otaifo will work and battle for position down low and gain position. She averaged 9 ppg and 10.1 rebounds last season for the Vikettes (20-8). <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-449932" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/06/D9549604-CFF4-4389-9B28-50BF7C482808.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>Emma Blair - Greater Latrobe HS (Latrobe, PA) </strong> Blair is a post player who runs on the Grassroots Circuit with the WPA Bruins. Emma hits the boards on both sides of the floor. She does a great job of using her left-hand to finish down low at the basket. Blair keeps the ball up high after rebounding it and showed to use a soft jump-hook at times. Emma averaged 13.6 ppg and 12.5 rebounds last season for the Lady Wildcats (18-5). <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-449929" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/06/1C31A64D-BF7B-4E74-A27D-31A56241BF8F.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="449774" first="Madison" last="McClain"] - Hampton HS (Hampton, TN) </strong> Madison is small in height, but she sure does pack a big punch at times with her play. McClain a combo guard pops off screens for open looks and really understands good shot selection. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-449930" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/06/5519FE21-7AA9-4246-A721-1CAAB404B7B1.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="449775" first="Linsey" last="Jenkins"] - Hampton HS (Hampton, TN) </strong> Linsey was active on the glass getting second chance points. Jenkins made the most of on collecting baskets inside the paint today in a win over North Myrtle Beach HS. Hampton HS is located out in Northeastern Tennessee just south of Elizabethton. Hampton is surrounded by the Unaka Mountains. Hampton finished last season at (15-13) and has an enrollment of 400 kids. &nbsp;
