Now heading into July after finishing summer basketball Team Camp’s, we look at the updated recruitment process for many players around the community.
Eva Love Eva Love 5'9" | SG La Cueva | 2024 State NM – 5’10 Shooting Guard “La Cueva” Class of 2024
Eva Love Eva Love 5'9" | SG La Cueva | 2024 State NM has received several offers since the end of the season this past spring. This past April 25th, she received her first offer from Adams State University. Than on May 2nd, Eva received two offers from Colorado State University Pueblo and Newman University. May 23rd, she received another D1 offer from New Mexico State University. Two days later on May 25th, Eva received another offer from UCSD. She also made an official visit a few weeks later on June 6th. Her latest offer was this past week on June 20th, when she received another D1 offer from Utep. Going into her junior year next season, expect Eva Love Eva Love 5'9" | SG La Cueva | 2024 State NM to get plenty of more opportunities to play at the next level.
Bella Hines Bella Hines 5'10" | CG Eldorado | 2025 State NM – 5’9 Point Guard “Eldorado” Class of 2025
Eldorado’s star Bella Hines Bella Hines 5'10" | CG Eldorado | 2025 State NM received a lot of interest following her exceptional freshman year. Back in the beginning of he season in early December, Bella received her first D1 offer by her hometown team, the University of New Mexico Lobos. Than shortly after the season, she received another D1 offer from the University of Utah. With three more years left in High School, it will be fun to see how many more scholarships Bella Hines Bella Hines 5'10" | CG Eldorado | 2025 State NM receives.
Sydney Benally Sydney Benally 5'9" | PG Sandia | 2025 State NM – 5’9 Point Guard “Sandia” Class of 2025
Coming off an excellent freshman season, Sydney Benally Sydney Benally 5'9" | PG Sandia | 2025 State NM has had a busy summer working on her game and is already in the process of making college visits. This past week on June 25th, Sydney Benally Sydney Benally 5'9" | PG Sandia | 2025 State NM had an official visit with Stanford University. This is just the start of her playing at the next level in the future.
Aspen Salazar Aspen Salazar 5'9" | SF Centennial | 2023 State NM – 5’9 Small Forward “Centennial” Class of 2023
After a solid junior year leading Centennial in scoring averaging 14.1 points per game and leading them to the 5A State Quarterfinals, Aspen Salazar Aspen Salazar 5'9" | SF Centennial | 2023 State NM caught many peoples attention. This off-season she has competed in the CGU Elite Camp and the St. Edwards Elite Camp. Towards the end of last season, she was offered a scholarship from Western New Mexico. Expect Aspen Salazar Aspen Salazar 5'9" | SF Centennial | 2023 State NM to grab plenty of more offers during her senior year.
Gabby O’Hara Gabby O’Hara 5'5" | SF Bernalillo | 2023 State NM – 5’8 Forward “Bernalillo” Class of 2023
After helping Bernalillo High School go 28-2 this past season and reach the 4A Girls State Championship, Gabby O’Hara Gabby O’Hara 5'5" | SF Bernalillo | 2023 State NM is receiving offers to play at the next level. This past week on June 20th, Gabby received an offer to play at the next level at the University of Southwest. This was her first offer she received and I expect her to get her fair share next season as a senior.
Ariana Sanchez Ariana Sanchez 5'10" | CG Albuquerque | 2023 State NM – 5’10 Guard “Albuquerque” Class of 2023
Ariana Sanchez Ariana Sanchez 5'10" | CG Albuquerque | 2023 State NM from Albuquerque High School had an excellent junior year. She was the team second leading scorer averaging over 11 points per game and helped lead them to the 5A State Tournament. Prior to the start of last season, she received an official offer from Northern New Mexico in early October. Going into her senior season, Ariana is bound to draw more interest from other college programs.
Emma Christiano Emma Christiano 5'4" | PG Las Cruces | 2023 State NM – 5’5 Point Guard “Las Cruces” Class of 2023
Emma Christiano Emma Christiano 5'4" | PG Las Cruces | 2023 State NM played a huge role for the Las Cruces Bulldawg’s success her junior year last season. The school went 22-8 last season and made it to the 5A State Quarterfinals. Emma Christiano Emma Christiano 5'4" | PG Las Cruces | 2023 State NM led the team in scoring averaging over 14 points per game and has received plenty of interest this off-season. She has participated in the “Heart of Texas” event, the “GCU Camp”, and the “Prime Event” in Dallas. This past May 29th, she received an official offer from Pima Community College to continue her career at the next level. I’m excited to see her get more looks going into her senior year.
Bhret Clay– 5’9 Shooting Guard “Hobbs” Class of 2025
Prior to starting Bhret Clay’s freshman season for Hobbs High School, she was making college visits before the season opener. In early September, she had a visit with Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas. Than a month later in early October, Bhret had an unofficial visit with Abilene Christian University. A week and a half later, she had a visit with the University of New Mexico. Just recently after visiting with Abilene Christian University back in early October, their school made an official offer to Bhret Clay this past June 13th. After finishing her freshman year, its impresive to see the visits and offers she has received so far.
