I love to head to the tournaments and find those players that do the little things that may not show up on a stat sheet. At the Triumph Region Finals there were plenty of athletes who did all the little things to help their teams be successful. From diving on the floor for the 50/50 balls to jumping over the chairs to save a loose balls, here are the athletes that stood out as hidden gems.
Amanda Ogbonna I 6’0 I SF I 2023 I Georgia Queen Elite 2023
Ogbonna is a player that does everything to help her team get extra possessions. She wowed me with her ability to post up hard on block which led to some easy scoring opportunities. Runs the lanes well and is always in scoring position. When she couldn’t score inside she could step out to the short corner. A rebounding machine that is always working to get to the 50/50 balls.

Tyler is a force on the offensive and defensive boards. A player that just completely dominates the paint. Always in a position to score at the rim. Taylor knows how to get out in transition and run rim to rim. Can hit the high post shot and attack from the high post. Does all the little things that may not show up on the scoreboard.

High IQ guard that knows how to get to the basket and score through contact. Has a quick release and can knock down the 3 ball consistently. Always spotting up on the wing when her teammates penetrate and kick. Uses her quickness to pressure her opponents into turnovers.

Whitsey is a player that is a gamechanger. High energy. Knows how to get out in the passing lane and get baskets in transition. Has the ability to shoot the outside shot and the pull up jump shot. Great rebounder for her size. A player that can take over the game at any given moment. She will be on a lot of people’s radars as the summer goes on.

Respess is a player that can guard each team’s best player. High motor guard that is not afraid to faceguard or box and 1 anyone. A player that stands out for her defense but also showed her ability to step up and hit big time shots down the stretch. Knows how to get to the basket and finish through contact.
Cameron Oliver Cameron Oliver 5'5" | PG Greenwood Highschool | 2026 State SC I 5’3 I PG I 2026 I Greenwood Storm 2026
Cameron is one of the fastest players I have seen over the weekend. A player that has quick hands and knows how to play defense without fouling. She loves to pressure her defenders and create turnovers which lead to easy opportunities. Loves to push the ball in transition.
Breanna Windham I 5’0 I PG I 2027 I Mobile Lady Hornets 2026
Windham is a high energy guard that brings it on both ends of the floor. Her ability to penetrate and kick is her bread and butter. A player that loves to have the ball in her hands and can score from any spot on the court. Her ability to get downhill of the screen makes it hard to guard her.
