Current Rank: 12
Ciprianna Garcia Ciprianna Garcia 5'9" | SF Escalante | 2023 State NM is a floor spacing slashing lefty who can score inside/out – She is capable of hitting multiple 3s a game but is not just a shooter; Ciprianna is sneaky good at putting the ball on the floor and finishing in the paint area with soft touch – Garcia does a good job of getting to her spots and does not force tough shots allowing her team to execute in the half court. Ciprianna was a 2A All-State: 1st Team Selection (2022) and helped lead the Escalante Lobos to the State Championship game. The expectation is that she will be a 1st Team selection again and they will be back in the 2A finals next year.

Current Rank: 13
Mariana Sepulveda Mariana Sepulveda 5'9" | CG Carlsbad | 2023 State NM is a 2-way Playmaker that can handle the ball, shoot, pass, and defend. Mariana can create for herself and for her teammates during a half court set with a good IQ. Sepuvulda operates a smooth pick’n’roll with her bigs’ – she can find openings to attack/score if the defense does not hedge, switch, trap or deliver crisp passes to the roller or spot up shooters. Mariana and Carlsbad HS will look to close the distance between themselves and fellow District rivals, Hobbs who have been to the State Championship game 5 years in a row!
Brycelyn Martinez Brycelyn Martinez 5'10" | PF Escalante | 2023 State NM – Escalante HS, Tierra Amarilla – 5’10” Forward 2023
Current Rank: 17
Brycelyn Martinez Brycelyn Martinez 5'10" | PF Escalante | 2023 State NM is a hardworking forward that is comfortable operating in the mid range and down on the block; Brycelyn has flashed great footwork in the post using a smooth up-and-under and will also use a drop step, over the shoulder hook in the paint to score. Martinez is not afraid to shoot the elbow jumper if given space, making her hard to defend during a half court set. Brycelyn, like fellow teammate Garcia, was a 2A All-State: 1st Team Selection (2022); Together they will make one of the better duos again next season for the Lobos and will look to capture the 2A State Crown; A feat they came within 2 points of as they lost to Clayton HS 48-47.
Tayden Hanks Tayden Hanks 6'0" | PF Los Lunas | 2023 State NM – Los Lunas HS, Los Lunas – 6’0” Forward/Wing 2023
Current Rank: 18
Tayden Hanks Tayden Hanks 6'0" | PF Los Lunas | 2023 State NM is a very athletic slashing forward who plays with great energy and is quickly gathering collegiate interest from various schools at different levels (D3, JUCO, NAIA). Hanks is long and quick for her size, she runs the floor very well and is strong in the open court. What impresses most is her ability to rise up and collect a rebound. Hanks, at times appears to have springs in her shoes simply because she skies high for the board above everyone else. Tayden will look to help lead the Los Lunas Tigers next season as they continue to gel together.
Daliyah Morris Daliyah Morris 5'7" | SF Gallup | 2023 State NM – Gallup HS, Gallup – 5’7” Forward 2023
Current Rank: 24
Daliyah Morris Daliyah Morris 5'7" | SF Gallup | 2023 State NM is an athletic wing with a very quick first step on a Gallup Team that plays “small ball”. Morris operates the 4spot or Power Forward for Bengals who like to get out in transition, as well as press. Daliyah is fast with great vision and good ball handling skills – She displayed the ability to deliver sweet “no look” passes that freeze opposing defenders. Morris will look to help lead a younger Bengals team this upcoming season.
