I have counted down my favorite 40 prospects from the Select 40 Session II in Indiana, and we are now down to the final 4. The Select 40 Mount Rushmore recognizes the 4 players who had the most memorable performances. Below are the athletes who left us all in awe.

[player_tooltip player_id="269345" first="Ahnay" last="Adams"]|MCW|5’6’’|PG|’24

New England’s #1 ’24 continues to dominate the grassroots season. Adams is the engine in the MCW car and was the driving force behind some big wins in Indiana. Adams played the same way she always does: giving 100% on both ends of the floor and overpowering defenders on drives. It was her jump shot that was the biggest difference in her game. She was hitting consistently from the outside and knocked down a couple in crunch times. Seeing Adams trust her three-point shot and convert at a high clip is terrifying for opposing teams.

Jasmine Davidson| Northwest Select|6’1’’|SG|’25
[caption id="attachment_462007" align="alignnone" width="300"] Photo: Meredith Ryan[/caption]
After watching Davidson play, I am not shocked that she is the #1 ranked ’25 prospect in the nation. She is 6’1’’, a lefty, and can really shoot it. She kicked off one game with a deep three-pointer and followed that up with the smoothest dribble mid-range pull-up. Not only does Davidson have the physical tools and shooting but the intangibles on top of it. Nothing rattles her, and she lives for big moments. If you watch her body language and how she gets up and down the floor, you see her confidence shine through. Davidson will dedicate herself to the glass and ignite the break herself with a hard push and is a willing passer. Defensively, she challenges herself and guards the best offensive weapon on the other side.

[player_tooltip player_id="156050" first="Grace" last="Grocholski"]|Wisconsin Lakers|5’10’’|SG|’23

I saw West Virginia commit [player_tooltip player_id="156050" first="Grace" last="Grocholski"] drop the most efficient 36-point game. She was unconscious from the three, showed craftiness in the second level, converted mid-range shots, beat the defense down the court in transition, and got easy points on the break. It is not just Grocholski’s scoring potency that I liked in Indiana, but her IQ and passing stood out to me. She is one of the strongest passers I have seen when it comes to crispness, velocity, and accuracy. Nothing Grocholski does is lazy, and she can impact every possession, whether she is scoring or not.

[player_tooltip player_id="406493" first="Angelica" last="Velez"]| New Heights|5’8’’|PG|’23
[caption id="attachment_462001" align="alignnone" width="300"] Photo: Meredith Ryan[/caption]
Velez is 1 of 1. I haven’t seen anyone built like her this spring/summer, and she was in a different stratosphere in Indiana. Her demeanor and approach to every game are unique; no one wants to win more than she does. New Heights could’ve easily lost a couple of games, but Velez’s high level of play and leadership put her team over the top. I thought she shot the ball well, which complimented her violent scoring drives. She really dug in on defense and got stops when needed. Whenever New Heights needed a storm weathered, Velez came through repeatedly, making a dynamic play that shifted the momentum.
