We’ll be going over a quick preview of all of the teams showcased and in this article, we’re talking about the 2023/2024 Team White Roster.
Mikayla Blakes – Rutgers Prep (2024)
Blakes has been on an upward trajectory since having a fantastic sophomore season with Rutgers Prep, one that got the college offers flowing and plenty of attention on her. Playing for Jersey Gemz in the summer, this 5-8 guard has wowed with her pure scoring ability, shooting, passing and more. Her x-factor is her defense and the way she chooses to attack opponents on the defensive side of the ball has been incredibly effective. Blakes is on the verge of being a 20-point scorer and she more than has that in the tank for this coming season.
Arliana Torres – Toms River North (2023)
Another Jersey Gemz product, Torres has been an overlooked prospect so far through her high school career, but took massive strides as a junior and during her rising senior summer on the AAU circuit. Torres is finding her shooting and scoring touch without a doubt on the floor, and consistency is her best friend. She still has plenty of undiscovered, raw talent that in her upcoming senior season, she should be able to unlock. Her defense is something we’ve really tracked while following her and if she turns into a 3&D type player, that’s going to make a major difference in her confidence and success on the floor.
Taylor Derkack – Colonia (2024)
Talk about someone who is racking up the college offers, Derkack has been nothing short of incredible when it comes to her growth as a player over the past year. She nearly has a dozen D1 offers on the table right now and has shown out during the AAU season. This forward has been absolutely dominant in the paint and low post, bullying opponents and commanding the glass on both sides of the ball. She’s a competitor and a baller, an expected double-double machine and someone we think can easily surpass a 25-point, 15-rebound average as a junior. Again, she’s doing all of this and she isn’t even a junior yet!
