Today, I talked to the Dayton Metro organization as they head out for the end of July. We discussed several players and I am mentioning some who had a good summer.
Mykaila Ramsey, 5-9 2025, Springfield
Handles the ball well, good shooter. She is a good 3/4 athletic and plays a stretch 3 with a good outside shot. Gets to the rim. Runs the floor well.
Kendra Bondurant, 5-8 2025, Beavercreek
She ran the point and can play combo, court vision and handles. High basketball IQ and did an over nice job. Her stock rose this summer. Can hit clutch shots, hit a big 4-point play late in a recent game to help get the win. Handles and guards well. Likely the most improved player on this talented team.
Meghan Parlette, 5-8 2024, Dayton Carroll
High percentage outside shooter, can connect from the three. Saw her game improve over the summer as she continues to learn the game. Good basketball IQ, continuing to work on her defense and shows confidence with her game. Should be a talented player at Carroll.
Samara Gibson, 5-7 2024, Thurgood Marshall
Extremely talented defender, ball hawk and will defend on-ball as good as anyone. She also has an incredibly quick first-step to the rim. Can get by anyone, plays with good confidence. Continuing to work on her outside shot which is the one thing she has to develop the most. College coaches will like her.
Keetyn Hupp, 5-11 2023, North Adams
Very consistent on the court. She is very versatile with the ability to score at all three levels. Has developed an inside game to go along with her perimeter skills. High basketball IQ, continuing to work to her game.
Bean Jacobs, 5-10 2023, Miami Trace
Another versatile player. Normal 3, good outside shot, can post you up and gets into the paint. Very skilled offensively. Smart player with a high basketball IQ.
Janae Cain, 5-4 2026, Dayton Chaminade Julienne
Super quick with great handles, can defend on-ball. Can play uptempo loves to run the floor. As of now, she scored the best on the drive to the rim, finishes well.
