Her hesitation moves to the basket create open looks for her, as well as the forwards on Jerome’s team. Conley’s pull up 3’s are hard to stop, and when she’s on a roll- watch out! She’s consistent, and will without question play a key roll again this season for the Celtics. Kendall Baird- G, 2024, Dublin Jerome: Baird shows patience with the ball, and can make plays happen, by her outside shooting touch and smart choices on transition. She applies pressure defense on the ball, which disrupts opposing teams flow of the game. Don’t give her looks from behind the arc- she can nail them! CC Elkins- G, 2024, Dublin Scioto: I like CC’s speed, and how she takes initiative with the basketball. She’s not afraid to make strong moves in the lane. If a path inside closes, she retreats, and sets up the offense. Always looking for her teammates, setting them up for high percentage shots. (Featured Photo, with ball) Nia Smedley- SF/PF/G, 2025, Dublin Scioto: (Below, with hands up, #17) I was immediately impressed by how Nia plays anywhere! With her size, she’s able to post up on the block, and kiss the ball off the backboard for two! She’s also a threat from outside, and can certainly get to the free-throw line. Her finger roll touch going baseline, sharp cuts to the basket/ movement without the ball, and her outside shots are strong. She’s got a good eye, anticipates where her teammates are going with crisp passes. Fun player to watch!
