The Final Stretch

The time has come where travel ball season comes to a close. Personally, I learned a ton this past summer from the travel ball scene. For one, girls who take part in the circuit life, really have a passion for the game. All of the many young ladies who suited up for Tennessee clubs, really came out swinging, impressing coaches along the way. Our girls picked up offers from a plethora of different schools. We have talent for every division throughout this state and it was great getting an opportunity to see our young ladies put on a show for the various colleges.   Over the next couple of days, we will be wrapping up the travel ball scene. From Atlanta to Orlando and other places, we will dive into covering some of the highlights from the selected stops. First, I would love to provide some love to some prospects from the Summer Slam event hosted by Insider Exposure in Atlanta, GA.   [player_tooltip player_id=’245309’ first=’Ni’Kiah’ last=’Chesterfield’], the senior to be from Oakland HS, was a beast for B. Wright this past week. She has definitely added to her game, where she made her mark in the painted area. Used in the pick n’roll action as well as grinding it out with her back to the basket, she was sensational throughout the Live Period.   [player_tooltip player_id=’405846’ first=’Gigi’ last=’Harris’] from Fairview HS was stellar. Also from TBW, she had incredible court vision as she found open teammates through traffic. She handled pressure while conducting the offense and hit some key shots along the way. Loved her defensive presence on the floor as well.   [player_tooltip player_id=’285370’ first=’Madi’ last=’Lewis’] from Columbia Academy was key for a EAB Tennessee squad. With such a pretty release, she didn’t hesitate to unleash the rock from deep. She got to the rim multiple times by beating her defender with ease.   [player_tooltip player_id=’285387’ first=’Emaleigh’ last=’Tarpley’], stud standout from Rockvale also from EAB Tennessee. Just a solid tough kid who does the dirty work. Can play inside and out. Contributes on the boards. What I love most about this kid is she loves to take multiple charges a game.   Reagan Starks from Hillsboro was nice this weekend for FBC Nashville. She has become a heady player where she picks her poison and doesn’t force her game. Sees the floor well and contributes in multiple statistical categories for the club.   [player_tooltip player_id=’290720’ first=’Aubree’ last=’Laney’] of the TN Flight Trotters is a solid kid from the ‘24 class. The Sevier County standout is a tough kid. She knows how to run the show. With the ball in her hands, she can score the ball at a high clip and facilitate it with the best of them. Led her team in scoring in multiple games. Isn’t afraid to play D and lockup an opponent.   Kallie Housley from Corbin HS in Kentucky was a beast for East Tennessee Thunder this week. She posted a 40pt game against a physical Texas Flight team. This kid has a motor on her and just plays the game hard. From dialing it up from deep to slashing to the rim, she couldn’t be stopped this past week.   [player_tooltip player_id=’291002’ first=’Torri’ last=’James’] from Rossview who suits up for the TN Sol is a super special talent. The stretch 4 can do a little bit of everything. Two-way player who contributes in multiple categories. Rebounds, blocks, scoring, assists, you name it, good things happen when this kid is on the court. Blessed with great size and length, she’s a juggernaut. As the scholarships keep rolling in, look for this kid to land somewhere and be a true foundational block for a program starting Day 1.   Ashley Lester from GA repped with the Real Deal Squad from TN. Super tough kid who could change gears so quickly. With the ball in her hands, she was snatchin ankles and finishing shots. Played tough defense and created havoc that led to easy buckets. Stay tuned as this kid continues to grow into something pretty special.
