Continuing on with the Small Forwards in the class of 2023 we are now getting into several players I have not seen very often. I don't know how much I can say and how much I really know about these players. But I will do my best because they deserve every bit of publicity I can give them.

I first saw Feltner play at the Run for the Roses event in Louisville right after the July 4th Holiday playing up a class. She performed well during a game where the team was outmatched. She contributed with some hustle rebounds and a fastbreak drive to draw a foul, which she converted into 2 Free Throws. Getting one's first look at a player in this game was not the best of circumstances. But from it, I could tell that Feltner certainly belongs among the players she is ranked.

It should be noted, that she is listed as a Point Guard, while we have her ranked among Small Forwards. That makes her height a considerable factor in her college prospects rather than a potential liability. Last season she averaged 26.9 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, making 53.2% of her field goals and 73.9% of her free throws. I look forward to seeing her play this coming season.

[player_tooltip player_id="199608" first="Hadley" last="Turner"] - 5'9" Franklin-Simpson

I saw Turner play in Diddle Arena against an outmatched opponent in the semi-finals of the 4th Region. This was also not the best circumstance to see someone play for the first time. But it is still better than not having seen her play at all. She blocked a shot, made short-range pull-up jumpers, scored on rebound putbacks, and sealed off defenders to receive and score off of a dump-down pass. She also displayed mastery of the pivot foot to set herself up for a short jumper over

This season she returns as her teams leading scorer and rebounder from the previous year.

[player_tooltip player_id="164414" first="Sanaa" last="Jackson"] - 5'8" Paris [program_tooltip program_id='716175' first='Central' last='Kentucky Storm']

Jackson averaged 13.9 points and 5.3 rebounds last season and helped lead her team into the All "A" State Tournament while making 73.3% of her Free Throws and 31.1% of her Three Point shots.

While playing in the Battle for the Boro in Louisville this July I witnessed her excellent ballhandling. She made three-pointers from the wing and corner and a 10-foot pull-up jumper in transition from the right wing

[player_tooltip player_id="255503" first="Samatha" last="Berman"] - 5'9" Dixie Heights Next [player_tooltip player_id='886739' first='Level' last='']

I saw Berman play around Christmas time in Bowling Green last season. She averaged 12.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game last season and made 34.2% of her Three Pointers and 77% of her Free Throws. If I hadn't been sick I would have seen her at least one other time in the 9th Region Semi-finals.

In Louisville recently she was playing for her AAU team where I witnessed her consistently gain penetration into the lane and push the tempo in transition. She made excellent kick passes out to the perimeter to open shooters, rebounded, and scored on putbacks, and made her free throws.

[player_tooltip player_id="329465" first="Shaylah" last="Redmon"] - 5'9" Nelson County OTP

Redmon returns this year as the second leading scorer and rebounder on her school's team. She averaged 12.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game and shot 35% from three-point range. She is an excellent athlete with great quickness capable of excelling in every aspect of the game.
