The 2022 Summer AAU Season has come to an end. I've be able to scout and evaluate some of the best talent in the state of Arizona over the last few months. These unsigned prospects have solidified themselves as the best of the best in the state of Arizona in the class of 2023. Look for these players to have Breakout senior years and excel at the next level.

6'0 W [player_tooltip player_id='208030' first='Myah' last='Verse'] (AZ Elite/Mountain Ridge): Verse is a superstar on the basketball court. She is simply bigger, faster and stronger than most of her opponents. Verse has cracked ESPN's top 100 2023 prospects for a reason. Verse is the perfect component to a championship roster. Verse is an all-around talent capable of playing/guarding multiple positions at the next level. Any Division-1 school will be thrilled to land her.

5'10 G [player_tooltip player_id='208047' first='Reilly' last='Clark'] (Tucson Rattlers/Catalina Foothills): Clark is one of my favorite prospects to watch in the class of 2023. Clark averaged 17.8 pts, 7.7 rbs, and 2 asts a game last year. She is silky smooth shooter from 3, shooting it at 44% last year. Defensively, Clark has outstanding length at 5'10 and always seems to be in opposing teams passing lanes. Look for Clark to have a breakout senior year. Clark will be an immediate impact player at the next level.

5'11 W/F [player_tooltip player_id='138094' first='Bella' last='Barrett'] (AZ Elite/AZ Elite Prep): Barrett is one of the best players in the state of Arizona. She can hit open threes, rebound well, and finish through contact in the lane. Barrett has the ability to play both on the wing as well as in the post. Her versatility makes her a popular commodity for college coaches. Barrett will step up into whatever role she is asked to play at the next level.

6'2 W [player_tooltip player_id='138098' first='Khamil' last='Pierre'] (AZ Elite/Perry HS): Pierre is a walking highlight reel. She has had a breakout junior campaign and solidified herself as one of the best by being ranked in the Top 100 ESPN 2023 Prospects. This summer she went viral for dunking a basketball with ease. Pierre will be in discussion for Arizona's best female basketball player this year. Pierre one of the best prospects in the country with a super high celling.

5'5 G [player_tooltip player_id='65619' first='Ashiian' last='Hunter'] (AZ Elite/Mesa HS): Hunter is probably the fastest prospect in the class of 2023. She is electric with the basketball and is able to zoom past her defenders with her speed. Hunter also has the ability to shoot it from the perimeter and blow by her defenders for easy layups. Hunter would be a great addition to any college program looking for lightening speed, high IQ and elite defensive play.

5'7 G [player_tooltip player_id='115507' first='Sienna' last='Cherwinski'] (Nike Southwest Premier/Xavier Prep): Cherwinski can shoot it at a very high percentage. Her court vision and basketball IQ are also through the roof. Cherwinski plays for a super talented Xavier Prep team, which will have one of the best high school lineups in the state of Arizona. Cherwinski is a high level guard capable of excelling at the next level.

5'11 G [player_tooltip player_id='138096' first='Kaitlyn' last='Elsholz'] (602 Lady Nation/ Sandra Day O' Connor): Elsholz is a gamer. She can flat out score the basketball. She has the ability to finish in the lane through contact, pull-up off the dribble, and knock down shots from the perimeter. Defensively, she has great length and IQ. Look for Elsholz to continue to wow college coaches this year.

5'7 G [player_tooltip player_id='208239' first='Mak' last='Snyder'] (AZ Elite/Sandra Day O' Connor): Snyder is a phenomenal shooter in the class of 2023. She is capable of playing the point as well as playing off the ball. She shoots it from 3 exceptionally well. Snyder is a really talented combo-guard in the class of 2023. Snyder would be a perfect addition to a college program in need of high-IQ guards.

5'9 G [player_tooltip player_id='208253' first='Navine' last='Mallon'] (Tucson Rattlers/ Flowing Wells): Mallon is an ELITE prospect in the class of 2023. Mallon can score it from anywhere on the court, defend at a very high level and rebound. She averaged 16.5 pts, 12 rbs, and 3 stls a game. Mallon is tough as it gets when it comes to competitors. She is an Elite competitor in the class of 2023.

5'10 W [player_tooltip player_id='208736' first='Amaya' last='Washington'] ( AZ Elite/ Dream City Christian): Washington is an athletic wing player that can help her team in many ways. She is a good rebounder, passer and can knock down open threes. College programs looking for high skill, length and athleticism; [player_tooltip player_id='208736' first='Amaya' last='Washington'] is your answer.

6'3 C [player_tooltip player_id='261400' first='Kiley' last='Sours Miller'] ( Lady Jets/ Greenway HS): Sours-Miller is a double-double machine. Offensively, she uses her body and strength exceptionally well to finish through contact in the paint. Sours-Miller is a big time prospect in Arizona more than capable of excelling at the next level.

6'0 F [player_tooltip player_id='208243' first='Michaela' last='Lee'] ( AZ Pride/ Deer Valley): Lee is an A+ Rim protector. She is able to make an immediate impact on the defensive side of the ball. Lee using her great size, length and timing to block shots collectively. Lee is also an outstanding rebounder. Opposing players should think again before trying their luck scoring over Lee. College coaches that need a really good rebounder and rim protector; [player_tooltip player_id='208243' first='Michaela' last='Lee'] is your answer.

5'8 G [player_tooltip player_id='261416' first='Sage' last='Begay'] (AZ Elite/ Flaggstaff): Begay is an elite talent to watch play basketball. She defends the opposing teams best player, knocks down big shots, and passes the ball extremely well. Look for Begay to put up huge numbers for Flagstaff this year and continue to excel at the next level.

6'5 C [player_tooltip player_id='208267' first='Achol' last='Magot'] (Lady Firestorm Nation/Southern AZ Prep): Magot is one of the tallest prospects in the state of Arizona. At 6'7 Magot makes an immediate impact on both sides of the ball. Her size makes her impossible to block out which allows her to be a put-back machine. Defensively, opposing teams are not scoring over her in the paint. Magot is a division 1 talent with a super high celling.

6'0 F/C [player_tooltip player_id='208709' first='Katy' last='Frost'] ( Gold Standard Academy/Sandra Day O Connor): Frost is as physical as it gets at the post position. She's constantly fighting to gain position and doesn't back down from anyone. Frost rebounds exceptionally well on both sides of the ball. Frost is a gritty player and is one of the hardest workers I've seen in the class of 2023. She's exactly what a college program is looking for in terms of Skill, IQ and toughness.

5'7 G [player_tooltip player_id='208251' first='Katie' last='Burns'] (Tucson Rattlers/ Catalina Foothills HS): Burns is another electric guard in the class of 2023. She loves to push the pace and get easy buckets in transition. Burns can score it from all 3 levels which makes her a very difficult matchup. She is as exciting as it comes at the point guard position. She has the ability to make an immediate impact on whatever college program she steps into.

5'5 G [player_tooltip player_id='65622' first='Amelie' last='Cartagena'] (AZ Elite/Seton Catholic): Cartagena is a high-IQ guard in the class of 2023. Cartagena sees the court super well and always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Cartagena shoots it from 3 exceptionally well and I wouldn't be surprised if she solidifies herself as one of the best shooters in the state this year. Cartagena would be a perfect fit for any D3,NAIA, NJCAA program looking for a high IQ player to add to their program.

5'2 G [player_tooltip player_id='65617' first='Olivia' last='Arvallo'] (AZ Elite/ Valley Vista): Arvallo can handle pressure, knock down shots from the perimeter, and pass the ball extremely well. Defensively, Arvallo is aggressive as it comes. She likes to pick up full court and pressure the ball. Arvallo is a fun talent to watch in the class of 2023 and would be a great addition to any college program.

6'1 F/C Rori Hoffmeyer ( VBC/Cibola): Hoffmeyer has great size and footwork that allows her to be dominant on both sides of the ball. Hoffmeyer is an elite rebounder. If you're a college coach looking for an athletic post player that spaces the court exceptionally well in the class of 2023, Hoffmeyer is your ideal prospect.

2023 5' 9 W/F Ashlyn Thompson (Thatcher): Thompson is a high-motor prospect in the class of 2023. She plays extremely hard and is willing to do anything for her team to win. Thompson can rebound, defend multiple positions, play in the post, and is more than capable of bringing the ball up the court for her team. Thompson would be a great addition to any D3, NAIA, NJCAA program looking for a high motor athlete to add to their program.
