Yannah was a great addition to the Hurricanes roster after transferring in from nearby Palmetto Christian Academy. Seaberry can play both guard spots in the backcourt for Head Coach Presley Singleton. Yannah really has a good feel for the game and never seems to be rattled while on the floor. Defenders don’t leave her open on the perimeter she will make you pay for it later on.
Andrea will be relied on a lot this season for the Lady Trojans to provide offense. Duncan can score the ball from all 3 levels at times. Look for her to have a breakout season for James Island HS.
Waiters had some good showings this summer with Prep Girls Hoops in attendance. She showed her ability to make shots on perimeter when she is not handling the rock. Makayla has a quick set of hands on the defensive end of the floor that helps her manufacture some points going the other way.
Highlights
Tynasjia is one of the older players on this Landsharks roster. She really has a good set of hands to catch anything thrown in her direction. She can play face-up from the short corner or the elbow at times. Tynasjia has no problems carving out space down low and knocking defenders around.
One word describes Isabella, and that is HUSTLE. She is constantly around the ball and looking to make a play. Isabella won’t hesitate at all when it comes to diving on the floor, diving into the bleachers, taking a charge or picking up a steal in the passing lane. She had a great showing this past summer at the SCBCA Team Camp in North Charleston.
Zanyah doesn’t have to be the main cog on this talented Lady Eagles roster every night. Sanders-Smith plays the game very active in the passing lanes. She moves well from block to block and has no problems defending a bigger post player at times.
