This Marion Local standout guard played above her years last season as a freshman, and her game continues to improve. She is an outstanding guard with a good skillset, able to handle the ball and control the offense, along with score in multiple ways. Solid defender, can create turnovers to allow her team to capitalize.
She plays in a small school conference for a team who hasn’t had a lot of success the past several years. Taylee is a player who can turn things around and with a group of talented younger players with her, Woodbury should expand her game a lot this season, She is an excellent ballhandler with a consistent perimeter game. Good midrange, can also score from the three. Good court vision, able to create for her team. She is ranked in the latest PGH 2025 rankings and I will get to see her in September at the Dayton Shootout.
Plays for one of the most successful small-school programs in Ohio, Mescher opened some eyes as a freshman. Good handles and a good outside threat, she will see her role continue to increase this season with the loss of some talented seniors. Love her dedication to the game, she has a high basketball IQ with a lot of different strengths allowing her to contribute in many ways. Good court vision, can also handle things in the paint.
Her role will change drastically for the Trojans this season with the loss to Macie Taylor to Wright State. Tucker (featured photo above) will be a good floor leader for the Trojans after a good summer with the Dayton Vipers. She controls the offense well, handles the pressure and runs the show with good leadership. Good jumper from the perimeter, can also get to the rim. She will be a big key to the success Troy has in their quest for a league title.
Brooke impressed me a lot this summer with teh Vipers, as she showed good poise on the court, and didn’t seem to let much affect her game. Moves well and can score at the rim. Athletic and smooth, she has good court awareness and a knack for the ball. Like her summer teammate Tucker, I expect Brooke’s production to increase at CJ this winter.
