We saw some great performances, both individually and collectively from teams. Earlier this week, the All-Tourney teams for both the 2023/24 and 2025/26 classes were released via Twitter. We already discussed the 2025/26 All-Tourney teams, so it’s time to recap the 2023/24 All-Tourney teams, starting with the First Team selections.
Mikayla Blakes Mikayla Blakes 5'8" | SG Rutgers Prep | 2024 State NJ – 6-0 G, Rutgers Prep (2024)
Blakes had herself quite the tournament and was named tournament MVP. She has the height of a forward with the skillset and quickness of a guard, which has resulted in her dominating inside the paint. She’s got great breakout speed and really excels finishing at the basket. That height plays from the perimeter as well, giving her extra extension on shots and more separation from opponents. Even as a guard, she’s still a great defensive help as a shot-blocker and presence down low.
Julianna Almedia – 5-9 G, Saddle River Day (2024)
Almedia has put in work this summer with NJ Shoreshots and that work has paid off, especially in this tournament. Her ball handling skills are incredible and she just exudes confidence in a way we haven’t seen from her previously. Almedia has developed a stellar jumpshot, nothing too crazy, but a quick, smooth release that’s been effective on the floor. This tournament has solidified that she’s a shot creator and a playmaker, someone who wants the ball in her hands in a big spot.
Zoe Brooks Zoe Brooks 5'8" | CG St. John Vianney | 2023 State NJ – 5-10 G, St. John Vianney (2023)
We’ve talked about Brooks plenty, and once again, she put on a show at Hoops4MS, driving and finishing strong at the basket, pulling up from deep, throwing an outlet pass to a teammate or crossing up a defender without blinking an eye. There’s a reason why she’s committed to one of the best women’s college basketball programs in the country and Brooks is still growing as a player too. Her passing is an underrated part of her game and deserves more publicity. It’s really impressive to watch her carve up a defense and then carve up an offense as a defender.
Faith Fedd-Robinson Faith Fedd-Robinson 5'11" | SF Newark Central | 2024 State NJ – 5-11 F/G, Newark Central (2024)
Fedd-Robinson was one of the best forwards in the tournament and one of the better defensive players featured. While she didn’t win Defensive Player of the Tournament, she was most definitely in the running after showcasing great length and size in the middle. Fedd-Robinson is the complete package, not just a great defender, but someone who mixes up her scoring well between the perimeter and interior. She tracks opponents well as they come through the lane and is able to meet them at their apex to swat a shot away or force a poor shot attempt. Really impressed with her game and really impressed with her growth.
