Here are some notable players from NM, with a brief analysis, that were at the Mountain Madness!
NM – Las Cruces Premier
#10 Adrianna Audi Torrez Adrianna Audi Torrez 6'0" | PF Centennial | 2024 State NM – 6’0” Forward (2024) Centennial HS, NM
Two things standout about Torrez – 1, her length & frame. 2, her versatility. – Adrianna is long & athletic, allowing her to play multiple positions. She has a good jump shot allowing her to step out to the perimeter & hit 3s as a stretch 4; And she does not surrender defensive position on the flip side matching up with some tough forwards.
NM – Las Cruces Premier
#12 Aspen Salazar Aspen Salazar 5'9" | SF Centennial | 2023 State NM – 5’9” Guard (2023) Centennial HS, NM
Aspen is an explosive combo guard who can shoot the ball at a proficient clip and is sneaky good at putting the ball on the floor and getting to the basket. Salazar is one of the few players who does a good job of attacking baseline, creating angles to score and or finding open teammates for buckets.

#46 Caitlin Turnbow Caitlin Turnbow 5'10" | PF Organ Mountain | 2024 State NM – 5’10” Forward (2024) Organ Mountain HS, NM
Caitlin is a Big & Physical Back to the basket player with good footwork in paint area. Turnbow likes the classic sequence – one or two dribble backdown, drop step, finish over the top for a bucket – but will also shoot the midrange jumper if given space, making her hard to guard 1on1 in the half court.

#32 Hope Giddings Hope Giddings 5'8" | SG Sandia | 2025 State NM – 5’9” Guard (2025) Sandia HS, NM
Hope is a crafty lefty guard who likes to slash to the basket and does a good job of creating contact at the rim, drawing fouls – Giddings’ is continuing to improve as a ball handler, facilitator, and shot creator only making her more versatile on the offensive end!
NM – NM Clippers 17
#13 Karleigh Gutierrez Karleigh Gutierrez 5'7" | CG La Cueva | 2023 State NM – 5’7” Guard (2023) La Cueva HS, NM
Karleigh is a High energy player that can do a multitude of things on the court to help a team win – What’s impressed most, is her ability to handle the ball and take stress off of her teammates with smart decision making in the half court, primarily off the dribble in Pick’n’roll situations. Gutierrez plays with a ton of heart and is one of those “glue pieces” that is vital for a team to succeed.
NM – NM Clippers 17
#22 Rebekah Carpenter – 6’2” Forward (2023) Highland HS, NM
Carpenter is a massive presence in the paint area with long limbs who is not afraid to battle inside. Rebekah continues to expanded her offensive repertoire by extending out to the 3pt line, where she fired multiple attempts forcing opposing bigs to close out and contest.
