Well Louisiana is no different some of the best players and best programs are from our smaller towns and smallest classifications! These kids may not get the notoriety that the 5a kids do but best believe in Louisiana the Class B, Class C and 1a classifications have some real deal hoopers!
Samora Sampson (6’1) – Gibsland – Coleman
ATHLETIC can easily be used to describe Sampson as a player but she’s much more then an athlete. Avg 22.0 ppg as a freshman this 2025 wing is at her best in transition where she’s a big time finisher elevating over anyone who stands in her way! A long wing who lives in the passing lanes and creates havock on defense Samora has the prototypical build for a Power 5 wing! Still young coaches need to live in Gibsland Louisiana!
Alexis Dyer (5’10) – Oak Hill
When you think Alexis you think versatile! Avg 17.0 ppg and leading the Lady Rams to the LHSAA top 28 (Final Four). Alexis is A kid who’s most comfortable on the block but has the potential to step out and be a big guard that was evident seeing her in July getting some run in with the Louisiana United 2024 team. Alexis made 3 balls and is a way above average post defender! Once she gets confidence in her handle and another summer being seen playing Summer ball I can see Alexis recruitment taking off!
Cambree Courtney (5’10) Holden
Seem’s as if Cambree has been playing varsity basketball for forever. The 2nd team all state selection as a jr who finished the year leading her team in scoring at 16.0 ppg can score in a variety of ways. A high IQ kid that lives in the lane can been one of those small school steals for some NCAA division 1 ball club. Being able to shoot it the way she does helps her case look for her to have a big Sr season for the Lady Rockets!
M’Kiyiah Olivier (5’2) – Highland Baptist
5’2 but play’s if she’s 6’2. M’Kiyiah in the last two years has lead the Lady Bears to deep playoff runs, while last year avg 19.0 ppg in doing so. Fearless on defnese but offensively she can beat you in a variety of ways. Off the dribble, knocking down the long ball, floaters however you want it. A feature NAIA or D2 all american look for M’kiyiah to lead the Lady Bears on another deep Playoff run.
Lauren Rachal (5’5) – Family Christian
You can tell when your a coaches kid, you tend to do all the little things rite. In this case Lauren does it all for her Family Christian squad. A real Lead guard who has to take on more of a scoring role with her team can be a very good distributor as well. Shoots it pretty well from deep and just knows how to run a team. Lauren will most definitely play at the next level if she chooses to.
