Ryan Peak Ryan Peak 5'10" | PF Emporia | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, PF, Emporia – Back in mid-June, at the Wichita MAYB Summer Kickoff I had the opportunity to see Peak playing with her Spartans high school team. Playing with strength and speed, she worked hard inside to score as well as to defend. Will thrive when teams key on teammate Rebecca Snyder Rebecca Snyder 6'0" | PF Emporia | 2023 State KS in the upcoming year.
Stephie-Safi Salumu Stephie-Safi Salumu 6'0" | SF The Independent | 2024 State KS , 6’0″, SF/PF, Wichita Independent, KS Bluejays – Because the KS Bluejays played the Prep Girls Hoops Dynasty (KS) ‘ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”] Circuit I had the opportunity to see Salumu play a great deal. Salumu is a high ceiling player due to her size, strength, skill set, frame, quickness, finishing ability, and her interior passing. Here is what my colleague Akiem Bailum, who saw her at PGH Live in May, had to say in his May 22 article – “Solumu stands at at even six feet – giving her a height advantage on many occasions when she is on the court. Salumu has no problems absorbing contact and finding her way to the free throw line and will also try her hand at shooting from deep. That height advantage shows itself on both ends of the floor.”
Kinley Rogers Kinley Rogers 5'10" | C Hoxie | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, C, Hoxie – Making noise in the brutal, primarily 3A team comprised, Mid-Continent League Rogers earned second team honors in 2022. With a good frame, strength, and solid transition speed Rogers uses those to set up her half court abilities. She has a very good face-up and back-to-basket game that she applies her quick feet, quick release, and solid elevation to. That is what I see on film. I have not seen her in person. What I especially want to see is consistent finishing ability with her left and her prowess defending.
Tyara Davis Tyara Davis 5'10" | SF Blue Valley North | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, SF, Blue Valley North – While I have not see Davis much what I have seen right away is her athleticism, transition speed, hops, size, and shot blocking ability.
Ava O’Brien Ava O’Brien 5'11" | PF De Soto | 2024 State KS , 5’11”, PF/C, De Soto, Kansas Elite – I have not seen O’Brien in quite awhile but at our Dynasty (KS) ‘ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”] Circuit stop in Lawrence in 2021 I liked her athleticism, size, and length. All of the Kansas Elite players I have ever seen can run. Good, developing talent with size makes this list pretty easily.
