I love catching Prime Time Nationals for a number of reasons, mainly because I'm always catching legitimate next-level players that I knew nothing about so here are my Top 5 for Sunday in the 9th Grade Division, Yanders Law won the championship. I'll be breaking it down in depth on my website as I caught even more on opening day

Grotjohn put on a very impressive shooting exhibition, in fact, if I gave an MVP award, she would definitely be it but more importantly, is that she reminded me of what I said about her four years ago at Prime Time Nationals. I love going back to what I wrote about players, that is why I overemphasize using the search bars but my saying she had UNREAL upside hit the nail on the head. She scored whenever she wanted, wherever she wanted from, and however she wanted to do it. She's added the HEZ to her toolbox yet her step back from deep had me going but her poise on the court and confidence when she shoots it deserves #THROWBACK and when you factor in that she "sees the floor" she "plays the passing lane" and she defends, voila

[player_tooltip player_id="408136" first="Laykin" last="Moore"] (Yanders Law) MO

Moore showed me even MORE than she did on opening day when she grabbed my attention in passing. She's long and athletic, that is the base I use, and more importantly, so do many college coaches, they give scholarships, I don't, yet her showing she can shoot the ball from mid to long-range consistently and her being a couple of inches shy of "the magic number" which is 6'0, college coaches love BIG GUARDS that can shoot, she can definitely do that. She also scored off the dribble and finished strongly after contact plus she rebounded on both ends

Nadine Adeleke (Austin Elite Sparks)

Adeleke just keeps showing progression and her energy on both ends combined with the intensity she applies baseline to baseline has her in a pretty good position. She's athletic and scores well off the dribble, in fact, her acrobatic finishes are becoming more common as I continue to watch her. She also understands the game, which is a plus, and doesn't force shots, playing within yourself is huge, and so is her rebounding over taller opponents on both ends

Jaydah Parker (HUB 2025/2026)

Parker brings so much to the table, first of all, she's focused off the top, and watching her watch the play before it happens was nice, yeah she has quick hands to come up with steals and she anticipates well, that falls into "playing the passing lane" and that in itself JUST DID IT for me but she also plays under control and understands how to get hers "in the flow" nevertheless her athleticism coupled with her "first step" enables her to get to the rim with ease. She also showed she could drop the jumper consistently

Bryanna Boston (GCS Level Up Elite)

Boston is "long and athletic" remember that is the base and her explosiveness off the dribble caught my eye on opening day yet I didn't realize how hard she plays on both ends as she falls into that "never takes a play off" type of player. She also plays the passing lane, yes I love that and can handle the ball in the open court afterward. Well she also handles it coast to coast after rebounding, she does that on both ends by the way, but her "on the ball" defense as well as her pull-up jumper were both solid
