Leilani Love: 6’1 Center “Albuquerque” Class of 2023
Leilani Love from Albuquerque High School had a brilliant junior year leading the bulldogs to the 5A State Tournament. While doing so, Leilani averaged a double-double over the course of her junior season. She averaged an impressive 19.3 points per game and 12.5 rebounds per game last season. Leilani was the 6th leading scorer in New Mexico last season and the states top rebounder last year. She also was a great interior defender inside the paint averaging 2.5 blocks per game last season which was 5th in New Mexico last season.
Kathleen Obisike Kathleen Obisike 5'11" | C Hope Christian | 2023 State NM : 5’11 Center “Hope Christian” Class of 2023
Kathleen Obisike Kathleen Obisike 5'11" | C Hope Christian | 2023 State NM from Hope Christian had a solid season for the Huskies last year. She was the teams leading scorer and rebounder last season averaging over 21 points per game and over 10 rebounds per game averaging a double-double. Kathleen dominates and plays best inside the paint on both ends of the floor and holds her own in those matchups. She gets a lot of second chance points around the rim with her offensive rebounding.
Taejhuan Hill Taejhuan Hill 5'11" | C Volcano Vista | 2024 State NM : 5’11 Center “Volcano Vista” Class of 2024
Taejhaun Hill was a key piece in Volcano Vista winning Back to Back State Championships in the 5A Class this past season. She was the one in the middle playing a big presence on both sides of the floor. On the offensive side, she was one of the states premier post players with her back to the basket. Taejhuan Hill Taejhuan Hill 5'11" | C Volcano Vista | 2024 State NM finished around the rim really well and played through the contact inside. She was also dangerous hitting mid-range shots from 12-18 feet outside. She was Volcano’s third leading scorer who averaged 12.0 points per game. On the defensive side, she altered shots defensively and led the team averaging 8.1 rebounds per game. Expect Taejhuan Hill Taejhuan Hill 5'11" | C Volcano Vista | 2024 State NM ‘s production too increase next season with Volcano Vista losing much of their core to graduation this past summer.
