Staci Williams Staci Williams 5’7″ | PG Holly Springs | 2023 State NC (featured photo) is someone who always seems to be thinking three steps ahead knowing how to best help her team score some points. She is constantly looking up the court to up the tempo for her team, and she can take the ball all the way herself or even show off a transition three pointer. She has a way of getting around her defenders with ease, and she doesn’t change her shot when contact is coming. Her quick release on her shot makes her difficult to guard, and she can certainly shoot from deep. She does well scoring off a pass or creating a play for herself. On the defensive side of the ball, she crashes the boards knowing exactly what to do with the ball once she gets the rebound.
Anaya Harris Anaya Harris 5’8″ | PG North Raleigh Christian Academy | 2023 NC is used to doing many things for her team. She handles the ball efficiently finding her open teammates with ease, and she can definitely score herself. She uses her strength to drive hard downhill and finish at the rim. She can show off her jump shot from all over the court as well. She is very athletic, too, getting inside for rebounds and showing no fear of boxing out bigger opponents. She has an offer from Appalachian State.
Victoria Sagne Victoria Sagne 5’11” | CG Apex Friendship | 2023 NC is determined to win each game with the way she immediately finds ways to score. She can set herself up for the open shot from deep with her off ball movement, and she knows exactly how to move right after catching the pass if she wants to drive to the basket. She is quick in transition taking the ball coast to coast herself scoring on fast breaks. She does well finding her teammates open underneath the basket. She has an offer from Gardner-Webb.
Kaitlin Littlejohn Kaitlin Littlejohn 5’9″ | CG Apex Friendship | 2023 NC is a strong three point shooter showing off the pretty arc in her shot from all around the perimeter. She uses this to throw off her opponents with some fakes and drives around them to score by the basket. She is consistently moving on the court whether she is on offense shifting her defenders around the court, or she is jumping into passing lanes when she is playing defense. She has offers from Roanoke and Christopher Newport.
Highlights
Ja’Kea Brunson Ja’Kea Brunson 5’9″ | PG Wayne Country Day | 2023 NC does an excellent job creating space between her and her defender in order to show off her jump shot. She has a nice shot from deep, and her quick jump stop makes it essentially an open shot for her as her defender doesn’t know when to stop fast enough. She doesn’t necessarily need the space, though, as she barrels through contact with no problems on her way to points by the basket. She holds offers from William Peace and Louisburg College.
Rhian Lawrence Rhian Lawrence 5’7″ | PG Cardinal Gibbons | 2023 State NC moves well up and down the court getting open and filling in the open spaces between her defenders to make sure she gets the pass to score in transition. She can certainly step back and knock down a three pointer anywhere around the perimeter. She has a way of almost exaggerating her crossovers losing her defenders easily, and this opens up the floor for her teammates to get open. She isn’t just a guard, though, as she is known to get inside and grab rebounds for her team, too.
