Staci Williams was a McDonald’s All-American nominee this year to nobody’s surprise.  She has such a pretty shot from deep, but her court vision is what sets her apart.  Her ability to make full court passes even with one hand splitting defenders is fun to watch, and she can also push the tempo handling the ball up the court herself.  She thinks two steps ahead knowing how to move the ball to get some points for her team.  Thinking ahead happens on the defensive side of the ball, too, being able to read her opponents and come up with the steal protecting the basket at all costs.

Staci Williams is an excellent student of the game being able to adjust to what her opponents give her.  She takes advantage of slow defenses or making them shift with her ball handling to create her own open spaces.  She relocates well when she passes the ball finding the open areas to show off her shot off the pass, or she can battle her way to the rim for two.  Her hesitation and in and out moves create space for her to score or make a nice pass to her teammates.  She will do it all for her team, too, getting inside for rebounds and jumping passing lanes to grab steals.

Staci Williams had some nice full court pass finding her teammate filling the lane for some easy points without even dribbling.  She can shoot it from deep, too, showing off her range shooting the ball.  She doesn’t need to be controlling the ball full time as she flashes up the court herself for the pass and bucket.  On the defensive side of the ball, she had some lock up defense at the top of the key.  She hustled back on defense locking up jump balls to stop fast breaks from being successful.

Staci Williams Staci Williams 5'7" | PG Holly Springs | 2023 State NC (featured photo) is someone who always seems to be thinking three steps ahead knowing how to best help her team score some points.  She is constantly looking up the court to up the tempo for her team, and she can take the ball all the way herself or even show off a transition three pointer.  She has a way of getting around her defenders with ease, and she doesn’t change her shot when contact is coming.  Her quick release on her shot makes her difficult to guard, and she can certainly shoot from deep.  She does well scoring off a pass or creating a play for herself.  On the defensive side of the ball, she crashes the boards knowing exactly what to do with the ball once she gets the rebound.
