Ja’Kea Brunson seems to always play with a calm composure as if she knows what she is fully capable of. Her senior season ended as runner up in the state championship game against a tough Grace Christian team, but Brunson left it all out on the court. She was knocking down shots throughout the game from around the perimeter knowing how to find the openings or create space on her own for the shot. Her IQ was on display on defense being able to anticipate what her opponents will do and block shots or step in front of passes.

. She did a nice job moving the ball finding her teammates open underneath the basket. She can knock it down from deep herself finishing with five shots beyond the arc. She drove hard to the basket finishing at the rim embracing contact. She was certainly showing her senior leadership focusing on the next play no matter what her opponents did finding ways to score from deep or attack the basket.

does an excellent job creating space between her and her defender in order to show off her jump shot. She has a nice shot from deep, and her quick jump stop makes it essentially an open shot for her as her defender doesn’t know when to stop fast enough. She doesn’t necessarily need the space, though, as she barrels through contact with no problems on her way to points by the basket. She holds offers from William Peace and Louisburg College.
